Trump’s overall approvals are now above water in only 18 states. Notably, he’s currently underwater in TX (-3), FL (-4), OH (-6), KS (-1), IA (-4). WY and WV however remain steadfast: +29 and +25!

“The evil that men do lives after them, the good is often interred interred with their bones.”

Or as in Cheney’s case, just bones.
By almost any measure, Cheney was the most powerful vice president in history, the "architect and executor of President Bush's major initiatives," writes Robert McFadden. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/04/u...

Let’s not forget he was also guilty of war crimes.
Dick Cheney did more than anyone else to build up expansive and destructive executive branch powers in the wake of 9/11; he lived to see another president turn those same powers against his own daughter.

He should be a warning sign to the GOP today but too many of them are in the cult.

Trump explains why he likes himself so much.

Yes! Time to put on our big boy democracy pants and let the elected majority govern.

Institute the Harkin Rule now.
Let's do it. Let's get rid of the filibuster. Big step forward and actually the best possible circumstances for Ds. They've spent a month using their power to put draconian health care cuts at the top of the agenda. But ... I'm skeptical the GOP senate will go along. We'll see.

Then he’s just gonna have to get really, really, really popular by 2028.
Trump has conceded that it was “pretty clear” the Constitution didn’t allow him to seek a third term as president, despite frequently floating the idea in recent months. Read more: https://bloom.bg/4oCq2rO

Which is one of the reasons why, after 100 years, it’s time to increase the size of the House and thereby bring government closer to the people.
The Founders knew Congress - especially the House - was the backbone of U.S. democracy. It should be a huge story that Mike Johnson, serving Trump, has all but shut it down

President Trump indicated that he hoped North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-Un, would reach out so they could have their first meeting of his second term when Trump travels to South Korea later in the week. But there has been no public response.

It’s called advocacy.
Bessent: "I've read that Ontario is spending up to $75 million on these advertisements and it's propaganda coming across our border to decry the tariffs. The premiere of Ontario seems to have come off the rails a little ... this is interference in US sovereign matters."

This post is typical of many when it comes to advocating for progressive policies. It ignores the reality of the Senate filibuster. It doesn’t matter what you advocate for if it cannot be passed into law. This is a major source of dissatisfaction with government.
Democrats should commit to expanding the Supreme Court and ignoring all of Donald Trump's pardons issued prior to charges. It's what Republicans would do if the roles were reversed.
Reminder that while Todd Blanche is threatening to arrest Democrats, he's also one of the officials who decides whether to hand $230 million in taxpayer money to Trump, which he very well may do. That should secure him that pardon if he needs it.
