Last week, I led a debate in Parliament on the inequalities faces by unpaid carers to mark #CarersRightsDay.

We must tackling the inequalities that affect millions of carers across the UK.

It's high time we recognised mental illness as a driver of terrorism we could then get into prevention
🔴 Exclusive | The mosque attended by Manchester synagogue terrorist Jihad al-Shamie has denied any role in his apparent radicalisation and instead questioned his “mental state”

If it was about testosterone, how come the women's teams are showing all the blokes up? Not that I have the slightest interest in sport.

Someone needs to tell them it's Starmer or Farage. We may or may not like the options but that's what they are
At least five Labour MPs have told party whips they have no confidence in Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister

Our autumn commuter campaign aims to capture the imagination and is all about modal shift, including digital billboard messages triggered by traffic queues on key arterial routes in/out of busy towns and cities.

The message is to switch to “Train Mode On”!

They are paying interest on massive loans from these shareholders. It cannot be avoided. If publicity owned these payments would continue via gilts. Probably at higher interest rates
When you know your outfit is 10/10 but your face is still thinking about how successive governments refuse to bring water companies back in to public ownership so our hard earned money is paying offshore shareholders billions of pounds instead of investing in decaying water infrastructure xx

Fair enough. But all drivers of any age should have to have eye and health checks. Even at 94, you don't want a termination of your active life by a driver of any age

We'd be better off without Marxist inspired people in the Labour Party. We need pragmatism who have bothered to understand how the economy and society works and who can explain it to the electorate
Opinion | "By applying pressure to create a more balanced Labour Party, Corbyn and Sultana’s new party could be a good thing for Labour – especially for those socialists who remain members", writes Andrew Fisher

Bus fares in the Yorkshire Dales area are all no more than £3 for a single journey.

On Sundays Dales Rover tickets allow unlimited travel on the DalesBus network and connecting buses for the day - adults £10; group £18 (up to 2 adults and 3 children) - buy from the driver by cash or contactless.

Dead right about threat from Farage. Being more left wing would boost Farage.
Labour needs to get sensible about value for money.
Most Labour members see Farage as their party’s biggest threat…
and most members think Labour should move to the left

CoMoUK’s annual report on UK car clubs was released in April.

Two takeaways for me:

1. Shared cars are already making a big impact on car ownership. On average, each car club vehicle replaced 27 private cars.

2. There’s not enough of them. We need a serious strategy for shared mobility.

But much cheaper partnerships in Leicester, Portsmouth and Southampton have seen 20% growth.

Gov policy a good recipe for bed blocking
Today I challenged the Home Secretary to issue an impact assessment setting out what the consequences will be of stopping overseas care worker visas this year.

The Home Secretary avoided the question.

The government must consider the impacts on the sick, the frail and the elderly.
