I'm sure the 'tough on crime' govt will have them all in jail any minute now. That's how it works, right?

#SecretSantaAoNZ I’m lucky enough to be companion person to these two young dudes: Ngeru the Handsome (black nose) and Buddy the Mini Chonk. They’re five years old and joined us from the SPCA at four months as tiny, frightened scraps. Happily, they warmed up!

This is an important read: the senior cops who didn't accept the way McSkimming was being protected and worked to bring him to account. I have a connection to police sexual assault investigators and they are good people. Andrew Coster, it turned out, was not. www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...

The watchdog that found serious misconduct at the highest levels of police also commended the work of several police staff who stood up. Here's who they are.

Interesting long read, anonymity means coded names but I gather 2 women and 1 man played integral part in exposing this

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist… Jevon has tried to get rid of this by making a complaint," wrote one officer, "... this looks like a cover-up."

This is blatant political interference in rge New Zealand Curriculum that shouldn't be tolerated.
Education professionals should be deciding what is in the NZ Curriculum, not politicians from 8% parties pandering to the worst of NZ society to the detriment of our students.

Who knew what and when about the controversial anti-strike Facebook ads?
But Christopher Luxon says that didn’t happen and the Commission denies it was seeking approval. Labour wants Collins to clarify and is reminding the Commission to be politically neutral.

I'm not sure why they're not naming him. Apropos of nothing, RNZ named a 'well-known New Zealander' accused of sexually assaulting someone in 1995 last month as Act's Tim Jago.

"The majority of the cohort reoffended[...]"

Hmm, maybe if we instead addressed the root causes leading to the initial offending? Such as poverty?
