Bikepacking, Ultra Racing, Randonneuring, commuting. If it is on a bike it is fun!
Paris Brest Paris! The most famous randonnée of the world. 1200km, in 3 days. I slept just 6 hours overall. Sleep deprivation, heat, exhaustion, but also camaraderie and help from strangers. 30 miles from the end, my neck gave up and I couldn't keep my head up anymore.

Paris Brest Paris - Sleep deprivation, heat, people ... I almost didn't make it!
Paris Brest Paris, the most iconic randonneuring event in the world! Even has a dessert named after it, which is clearly the highest honor of all. Please SUBSCRIBE and LIKE! I'd love for this video to get in front of more people PBP is really about the people: 8000 participants from all over the worlds, thousands of volunteers from clubs in each of the control towns, and then the thousands of regular people along the route cheering, giving water and food at all hours of the day and night. You were never alone! This was my second time doing it. I made it both times, and this year I felt stronger. My first time I got to the end, but I had bad saddle sores, numbness in my hands and fingers, pain in my back and legs. I was a mess! This year I felt good for really most of the ride ... except right before the end when I got a case of Sherman's neck that almost made me stop. It was an incredible experience! I am glad that I did it and that I finished. Took me a long time to put it together: I was almost done and my computer broke. I had backups of the videos, but not of my edit! I hope you enjoy this video, let me know in the comment!

New Mexico! So much American History. It is one of the few places in the US where you have legitimate historic ruins, both from the native Pueblo people, the Spanish colonization, and the westward expansion. Hiking was exceptional too! I have to get back there with the bike.

When starting in #audax and #randonneuring, the first big shift is from riding 300km in a day to 400km brevets. Hard ones make ride deep into the night, without having the opportunity to stop.

You are lucky when you can find a good group to ride with!

The Marin Headlands just north of San Francisco are a beautiful place for cycling, with amazing landscapes all around! This time I stuck to road, but there are so many miles of gravel.

The #bikepacking and #cycling context is lacking over here! Where are the #outdoor people? #oregontimbertrail

Let me tell the story of my summer's crazy race of the Oregon Timber Trail 300. I thought I would be done in 3 days ... I was so naive!
