Today marks the 40th anniversary of the 7th episode of Dirty Pair, "愛こそすべて命賭けます逃避行!!" or "Love Is Everything, Betting Their Lives on Elopement", one of the most overtly trans-positive episodes of anime of its era. This was the future they predicted for us in 1985. We can still get there.

Apocalypse Hotel is a series that I really want to recommend to anyone that enjoys animation. Genuinely one of a kinda anime original that combines absurd moments and somber character stories seamlessly. It's a series that really feels like passion for the medium went into every scene.

Outside of the bigger gaming stuff it's great seeing more of Tormented Souls 2 and Demonschool shown during the indie sections of SGF. Very promising games for anyone that likes horror stories.

Watching more of Shoshimin and just so much of what Osanai says and does is thinly veiled talk of how twisted she is. Also the voice acting is pretty unique. It's very subdued, though still with plenty of character and nuance coming through. It's closer to live action drama acting.

Apocalypse Hotel has been really interesting to watch so far with both a somber look at post humanity Earth, and a crazy robot lady just trying to run a hotel.
