Apparently my brain decided that a hotel room 130 miles away from home was the right place to let out some of the stress that's been building up. I just wrote a song with the most dark/angsty lyrics I've ever come up with it. And the words came much easier than they usually do when I write.

i just cant with this deity/monarch view of politicians. i really like obama and i voted for clinton and biden, but they all serve us. they are our employees. we arent subjects. its their jobs to be political actors to foster an environment so policy goals become law. its on them.
No, we did fail them. Obama-Clinton-Biden made mistakes but they were clearly, obviously better than any Republican president or candidate over the past 100 years, in every conceivable way. Harris on her worst day was objectively a better candidate than Trump, by any possible measure.

There is also another feral cat that visits my yard. That one doesn't come as often and is even more skittish, so I haven't been able to get a good picture. They have similar markings but this one has more white fur on their face and neck. I think they are siblings but I don't know for sure
