Seriously!— I joined twitter back in 2007-2008? and it was SO easy for me to 86 my account when that rat fucking diaper fuck took over.

It’s fucking weird that it’s a struggle for some to leave a fascist social club. Not a good look.
The only surefire way to stop oligarchs buying up the things we love is to drop those things the moment oligarchs buy them & that requires changing habits and massive self-discipline.
It means going to alternatives that might not be quite as good or convenient.
It’s really hard. But there it is.

My dog ate a bunch of fancy chocolate yesterday and now is just filling my office with farts that have made me question whether there is a natural gas leak here.

There isn’t. Just a nasty, gassy, indestructible pittie.

And that’s how my Monday is going.

For someone who doesn’t want to be understood, not wanting to “reap a short term profit” from this mess of their life, I sure am having to hear and read a whole fucking lot about it.

Clunky sentence, but you get what I mean here.

She could just..not. But those 🤑🤑🤑 were calling.
“I do not wish to be understood, which no one seems to understand.”

This is what’s missing from the book. It is a 300-page meandering navel-gaze. A Joan Didion impression from someone with nothing to say, vaguely offended that readers would *expect* her to have something to say.

Like I get it, I’m not a journalist or whatever but as verbose as I am (and 😅😅 oooooh, am I ever), at least my audience gets the message.

Wtf is she trying to communicate here? It’s just so bad. Which is to say which is to say which is to say maybe she should try jigsaw puzzles instead of writing.
Only 17 pages in and I am winded.

This passage, folks… Don’t ever write like this. Just don’t do it.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard Mode: No Star Wars, Marvel etc

(If Netflix had their own wrapped, they’d give me grippy socks due to the thousands of times I’ve seen this movie on their platform)

This is an absolute gut-punch, and little me is doing all that I’m able to do within my means, and it’ll be for naught.

We deserve whatever judgement awaits our society by history.
TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

My big weekend task is to finish the ceiling patch, (taping the drywall edges and plastering + sanding).

And for some dumb-bitch-juice reason I also seriously entertained fixing + replacing our tub faucet, like I fucking know what I’m doing??

Look, I’m growing because I put that all back and left.

Oooh, say this again.

I regularly thank the old gods and knew that I found my person when I did.

What we have conditioned ourselves to accept and tolerate is insane, because we have allowed men to remove the bar entirely.

Men are too lazy and I am way too mean to settle for bullshit.
It feels very silly that I spend so much effort to be a person who is interesting, kind, considerate, funny, thoughtful, informed, curious, smart and good looking but men won't go to therapy, the gym, or ask what books I'm reading.

The old catchphrase "run the government like a business" has never made sense, definitionally. Most government services are things no business would ever do, because not all human needs can be contorted into a profit-generating activity.

I mean my cats talk to me constantly, but it’s definitely more conversational instead of “feed me, you giant” 😹

But also, yeah this tracks.
"...cats meow more frequently when greeting male caregivers. The team hypothesized that men 'require more explicit vocalizations to notice and respond to the needs of their cats'...suggesting that many cats have concluded that men don’t always listen, and adjusted their behavior accordingly."

Ahhh, so the hassle of gathering ALL of my name change docs (adoption, marriage, divorce, marriage) because of “National Security” was just for funsies and not actually necessary at all to keep us safe or whatever the fuck it was.

Me at 5:57p still logged in.

(Discounting the backtobacktobacktoback meetings that took my afternoon, navigating the logistics needed to schedule 6+ meetings a quarter, each involving 20-100+ invitees for 2026, and the two SOPs in draft, just started today.)

And yet STILL feeling behind.
