in tribute to @charliebrowntc.bsky.social , a king among cats, let us have a thread of Great Departed Cats, to show the angels that are now greeting him.

this is my baby Fez, who left us in 2022. one time some butter fell off the counter onto his side and Sandal chased him for like twenty minutes.

Today is #RLSDay which marks the birthday of the Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson who would have been 175 today.
It's also a good day to remember that it is NOT actually his birthday because in 1891 he gave it away to a young girl because she didn't like her birthday. 🧵

192 years ago, on the 13th of November 1833, the Leonid meteor storm appeared over north America. Together with Halley's Comet this greatly impacted the study of meteors. It was described by Native American nations, Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln among others. #otd 🗃️

Hmm, I went to take my meds before bed and found I'd already taken them...and tomorrow's as well 🤦🏻‍♀️ (It'll be fine, medically speaking. I've been on much higher doses in the past. It's just wasteful and brainless)

I've started watching s7 of the Sewing Bee which I think is the only series I've not seen - although now I realise I saw some of it over mum's shoulder because I recognise a few of them (hi, Raph, call me)

166 years ago, on the 12th of November 1859, Jules Léotard performed the first flying trapeze routine. The one-piece garment he invented was named after him. Léotard had passed law exams at age 18 before becoming a professional gymnast and died at age 32, presumably due to smallpox. #otd #history 🗃️

People of London! PLEASE SHARE. I lost my necklace last night (10th Nov), and I'm hoping someone has found it. I caught the Northern Line from High Barnet to Leicester Square, then walked to the Prince Charles Cinema, then the same back again. I only noticed it was gone when I got home.

That Radar piece about Bond is obviously made up. The claim that they can't work out how to resurrect him after he's been blown up comes from that old favourite, "a source close to the production". I don't think a team of experienced screenwriters is unfamiliar with the concept of a reboot.
