Those minimizing the problems with removing the tanker ban have probably never witnessed an oil spill themselves. I remember the Erika in France, where I was living, the entire beach covered by oil, and my shoes stained in yellow/orange because of it.

That's precisely the problem. No, not "everyone". As a white people from France, immigrant to Canada, I tried to read resources to educate myself. The inconvenient indian was recommended by Indigenous speakers at my orientation when I arrived here - and I bought it and read it.

There has always been a discrepancy in GDP generation and employment for Oil and gas in AB: it generates lots of money, but not so many direct jobs. Wholesales in AB is 10 times the number of jobs in oil and gas.

Utter contempt and disrespect from Bruce McAllister.

Cutting off the kid's mic and limiting his freedom of expression is one thing, but saying he should be spanked is a fireable offense from a supposedly neutral moderator. Bruce needs to be removed immediately.
At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

It’s…

Telling.

Im starting to watch Wayward on Netflix: I like it so far, especially how it show how giving « feedback » can be intensely destructive. I find it difficult to watch, not finding an echo to our culture of constant giving/receiving feedback.

I do not think it is reasonable to spend so much time debunking anything silly politicians say in terms of healthcare practice. Everyone knows that the POTUS has no healthcare qualifications whatsoever, so why waste valuable media coverage time talking about side effects of acetaminophen?

I need to say a few words about Darren.
He was, in many ways, the doctor all doctors needed to be. Compassionate, caring, an advocate and a poet. We were all privliged to have him in our world.
And we are poorer for his departure from it.
Wherever you are, I hope there are paddles and pedals.

Les moyens de pression des médecins sont très élevès au Quebec, du fait de l'importance des professeurs de clinique versus académique... Il y a très peu de professeurs "academic track". Pour les "clinical faculty", de faire cours ou pas, ça leur change pas grand chose
