Yep, and that “people need to experience or at least fear punishment” concept comes from the christian ideology of about 1500 years ago.
anyway the reason most americans give for why they think people shouldn't have free healthcare is always that they think some people r just completely undeserving of any kindness bc we live in a punishment based society and they think punishing poor people will make them less poor

CVS is not offering COVID vaccines in 16 states that require CDC approval for pharmacists to give them—incl. my home state, MA.
I’m 66, w. other risk factors, & go back to the classroom next week.
