University admins are consistently some of the most cowardly, risk averse people in the world, trying to please everyone leaning no one happy. I've seen it at so many institutions
the primary thing that TPUSA provides to young conservatives is a blueprint for weaponizing the abject cowardice of university administrators against individual teachers and instructors, and university admins should take a long look in the mirror and think about what that says about them

Used to be a psych professor (I'm an experimental psych PhD) and this essay would have gotten such a low grade, I would have left so many comments saying "cite?" and it's effectively the same quality of work as someone who didn't do the reading in the first place

So easy to administer a knowledge check after gauging opinion and then look at the difference in objective knowledge vs bias. It's just measuring dunning-kruger at that point. You could even readminister opinion after the knowledge test. Why this isn't common practice is nuts to me as a researcher
I’ve been thinking a lot about a new kind of polling I’d like to see. We have polling that measures public opinion, which is obviously important, but I’d love to see a little more empirical work on public knowledge: what do voters know about politics and policy?
