"Today I called out Danielle Smith's plan to bring labour over from the United Arab Emirates as Alberta faces some of the highest unemployment in the country.

This is about driving down wages and selling out Alberta workers."

Did Rebecca Schulz and Danielle Smith "consult" with the residents in Rocky View County and Rocky Ridge? I'm pretty sure most residents who aren't hardcore supporters of the UCP would want them to leave the land alone.
Meanwhile…

In orders in council it appears that Environment Minister Rebecca Schulz has moved forward a review on a project to build an open pit mine the size of Rocky Ridge…

Just north of Rocky Ridge.

I've said this on Twitter but congrats to Claudia Chender and the NSNDP for forming official opposition!

#ableg and #abpoli reminder for all Alberta folks, minimum wage has not gone up since the Alberta NDP were in government (which was 2018).
Maintaining the lowest minimum wage in Canada suppresses wages for all workers in the province.

The stats the minister mentions don’t include the number of people who work just slightly above minimum wage, which is absolutely not enough to get by. #yyc #ableg

Reminds me of what Naheed Nenshi said in the NDYA council about how the Saskatchewan Party will never give up public auto insurance because they know it actually works!

Danielle Smith‬⁩ Just gave biggest early Christmas present to insurance companies!

Albertans, insurance companies will now be able to increase your car insurance premiums without a limit and you won’t be able to sue them anymore.

Alberta to lift auto insurance rate cap, axe right to sue in crashes: Sources | CBC News
One major reform the UCP will announce soon could slash drivers' premiums in future. But next year, companies will be allowed to charge much more, CBC News has learned.

4) Gerrymandering.

They have removed the requirement that the boundaries commission (they draw the ridings) consider municipal boundaries to allow them to draw them to privilege UCP candidates rather than represent Albertans.
