I have a very serious question. What did people do when they moved to a new town before google maps? Did they just drive around to figure out where the closest Kroger was? Or just hope they stumble onto a store? I’ve had to get help to and from every destination in my first week in my new city.

As a musical theater enthusiast, I’m somewhat embarrassed to say I have never seen a live production of Wicked. But I saw the movie last night, and I was blown away. The acting, the sets, the production, etc. were all amazing, but I had no idea the layers upon layers this story held. #Wicked

Walz: So if you are feeling deflated, discouraged today, I get it. Take some time. Take care of yourselves. And get back in this fight when you are ready. And know that whenever you are ready to get back in that fight, I will be standing right here, ready to fight with you.

Be nice to the law students in your life. This is a tough time of year, especially for 1Ls facing their first set of exams.

The more I offer feedback on writing, the more I think that recognizing and (mostly) eliminating nominalizations is the single most useful thing a writer can do to improve sentence structure - even more than having a short subject/verb combo next to each other.

Serial Comma Case Alert!! Does an easement that gives a utility the right to "trim, cut and remove" vegetation allow the utility to use herbicides? Lower court said no. Ohio Supreme Court will decide. www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/Clerk/ecms/#... #legalwriting #appellatebluesky
