As I’ve been revisiting, the RTD seasons of Doctor Who feel like a codex for deciphering so much of 2010s pop culture. It really feels like it created a lot of the storytelling language we see over and over with its self-referential callbacks and the way it approaches it’s sci-fi ideas.
