My boss just called at meeting for 5:30 to give us extra work and I’m not sure I can want to make it.

I don’t like your…knob…pumpkin. Put your knob away.

Streets, who I’ve had 9 years now, came from the streets of Boston and he is a menace. Today is his second day in the house after being on the porch all summer. Back on his bullshit, observe the salad provided vs what he’s eating.

You know what I needed tonight? A fancy Halloween glass full of egg nog, Halloween Wars, then the new Naked Gun. This is the life.

If you were looking for salt at all tonight for your cooking or fries, or whatever, sorry, I guess I used it all in these fucking eggs.

Special thanks to @chuckwendig.bsky.social and @hillarymonahan.bsky.social for their help with getting out the #NoTearsBookFair word and helping us get over 1,000 books to kids who desperately need and want them.

@borntocrash.blog I'm pleased as punch to see you freak the fuck out.

HI! For everyone who supported our little school however they could for the #NoTearsBookFair last week, YOU MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! Between donations, sales themselves from the community and families, and the Scholastic Dollars we earned, we put out OVER 1,000 BOOKS to those kids!

In less life-or-death news, I'm 99% sure a raccoon stole one of my Venus Flytraps.

My #NoTearsBookFair setup is today for these kids who have nothing, and I refuse on the regular to let them cry because they can't afford a book. Well a lot of these kids started the day in tears already.

You may know of my #NoTearsBookFair that I run at the tiny elementary school in town, so small it doesn't even have a bus. Most ELL students in town, most low-income families in town. A strong Brazilian presence with lots of Brazilian-run businesses, churches, and community events.

Well, I had a dream that partially involved a dirty little mouse with a duck bill and clicky-clacky spider legs.
Good morning.

I won’t ever say not to feel your feelings. But do something every day to make your brain WORK outside of terror and dread.

Set a timer to read for 5 minutes.

Name 5 things you feel physically and if you can’t, go find them.

Google a random fact about a different culture

Republicans know work requirements for Medicaid don’t work — and yet they want to expand them in this disastrous bill. Make it make sense.
