National income streams can be well publicised but are you fully aware of any local money available and the criteria for payment? Have you looked at how profitable any local services are and costed them out appropriately? Profit is essential

PCN income – the funding which is flowing through PCNs now is big business.
• Who is looking after the finances?
• Do they have any formal financial training?
• Do you have transparency and confidence in the numbers?
• How much cash is held at PCN level and is it managed effectively?

How does the GP contract in England impact practices in 25/26. Large headline figures may be misleading and each practice needs to consider how the funding impacts at both practice and PCN level. Profit = income less expenses. Both sides of the equation need to work so know your numbers.
