I can hear his voice saying that, now.

Oh mannn. Their faces when Obama enters the plane to thank them. Their comments, and those of the servicewoman explaining what these trips are about.

And seeing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in DC, which was installed when I lived there.

And the reminder, of what dignified leadership looks like:
Ahead of Veterans Day, I was honored to welcome a flight of veterans and their families as they arrived in DC.

Incredible life trajectory.

Surrounded by men in her family as a child.
Surrounded by men of another sort, years later.

Standing up during a White House meeting.
Not mincing words.
Pointing directly at Trump.

...Pelosi was meeting with trans activists, holding press conferences to demand trans rights and quietly donating money to trans causes. And she never stabbed the dolls in the back. She's been in the trenches for us when she didn't have to. Don't forget that.

Pelosi the speaker/leader was the most effective and powerful leader in American history also. Talk to any GOP politican or staffer or activist who was in the game when she was in power and you'll see that they talk about her like the world once talked about Genghis Khan....

Over the margin,
After it, follow it,
Follow The Gleam.

I am still processing last night elections. The turnout was simply amazing. Black voters, Latino voters, white voters—Americans made it clear that they understand the stakes of this political moment. I think something more seismic is happening. I just don’t have the language for it just yet.
