This Battle Ends, But the War for the People Begins

Democrats are standing in the breach, holding back a reckless Republican agenda that threatens to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and strip health care from millions of Americans.

My vision is for a UNITED DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

A party where every candidate, from local races in 2026 to the national stage in 2028, works together as one movement.

Together we can form an alliance that unifies our purpose.

Rally Cry: This Battle Ends, But the War for the People Begins

Democrats are standing in the breach, holding back a reckless Republican agenda that will dismantle the Affordable Care Act and harm millions of Americans. But our power to delay is not infinite.

This current Republican administration caused this.

A manufactured crisis built on greed, cruelty, and the belief that hunger somehow builds character.

A century ago, unchecked greed led to breadlines, bankruptcies, and children holding empty bowls in soup kitchens.

"Although the MAGA movement is home to its share of outspoken Catholics ... its anti-migrant attitude directly contradicts Church teaching about the dignity and love that the faithful owe to foreigners and refugees."

The Catholic Church and the Trump Administration Are Not Getting Along
The religion’s call to radical love can’t countenance this much cruelty.

Get Out of Your Own Way

After last night’s Democratic wins, it feels right to borrow a moment from Ted Lasso. When Roy Kent storms into Rebecca’s office and yells, “What do you want?” she fires back, “Oh, I know this one. It’s you.”.

Today I learned that Dick Cheney has passed away at the age of 84. He served this country for decades in roles including Vice President of the United States, and in doing so carried the weight of public service, leadership and responsibility.

We’re living through a civil war, not of armies, but of influence.
Ordinary Americans aren’t enemies. We are being divided while billionaires rewrite the rules to make themselves richer and more powerful.

I am a solid NO on State Question 836. There are too many traps for Republicans to weaponize the vote to eliminate Democrats.

This is a lengthy post that explains in finite detail why I am a “No” on this question.

THE CRUELTY IS THE POINT

Republican leaders, following Trump’s lead, are continuing to push the government shutdown.

This isn’t about budgets or efficiency. It’s about power and punishment.

And they’re in the Epstein Files?

The lawfare threats of Miller, Noem, and Bondi are READILY challengable under state constitutional and legislative law. The 4th Amendment as written into state constitutions may be deemed to provide greater protections as a response to Kavanaugh's wording in Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo ... 1/4

Why Trump Shut Down the Government

Trump didn’t shut down the government to protect the people. He did it to protect his power.

What’s he going to do next, tear down the Lincoln Memorial and build a stadium for his hate rallies like Hitler did when he turned the Zeppelinfeld Arena into the Reichspaeteitag-Gelände?

Nothing brings people together like good food and good neighbors. My friend Chris May is hosting a Community Cookout and spreading the word on his show this week.

This is what community looks like. Real people connecting, sharing, and building friendships that make our towns stronger.

“We Told You”

Farmers were told that tariffs and “America First” would make agriculture strong again. What really happened?

We lost billions in trade. China turned to Brazil. Argentina got a bailout.

The East Wing of the White House has stood as a symbol of continuity through war and peace. Trump’s decision to demolish part of it shows what we already know: nothing is sacred to a man who sees America as nothing

If you DO NOT believe America should be ruled by a king, stop voting for people who act like they’re trying to crown one.

Oklahoma’s entire congressional delegation includes James Lankford, Markwayne Mullin, Kevin Hern, Josh Brecheen, Frank Lucas, Tom Cole, and Stephanie Bice.

When I turned on the local news this morning, the first thing I saw was a Charles McCall campaign ad bashing transgender kids. He used a meat cleaver to slice through a banana to make his point that symbolizes cutting off a penis.
