Sports. Music. Buffalo. Predisposed to many things. Prone to a few. Weekend radio guy.

Rest in peace to a great entertainer, the Tiny Tot of the Kilowatt, Art Wander. I spent 100s of hours as a kid listening to him on WGR and there's no question he made me want to do the job.

I got to meet and thank him exactly once and I'll always be grateful for that. What a #Buffalo legend.

My brain processed this as a full size fridge at first and I thought these people had 8 ham-sized hunks of cheese.
A couple years ago we flew back from Spain with many pounds of cheese. We had an overnight layover in London and fortunately our room had a mini fridge.

A "becoming your parents" spot where the dad gives the cashier a lengthy, unsolicited breakdown of his home improvement project because that guy was definitely in line ahead of me at Home Depot this past weekend.

It's amazing how similar championship teams are across sports. They don't beat themselves. They're consistent. Killer instinct. Raise their game in the clutch. The Bandits are all of that.

As a Bills fan I can sympathize with the Leafs getting to the cusp and falling short time and again.

As a Sabres fan I can take a lot of pleasure in the Leafs getting to the cusp and falling short time and again.
Game 7s haven’t been kind to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

One on a small list in the history of rock where you can accurately say, "no one else could sing like that".

I don't feel strongly one way or another on Rose getting into the Hall. He obviously had a HOF career. But if you put him in, then Joe Jackson has to go in. Either MLB views gambling as a disqualifier or it doesn't. It can't be a gray area.

I distinctly remember playing all of these songs and assbut is largely correct here. With few exceptions (Ocean Avenue, notably) this period of time was a drab landscape of mostly forgettable active rock; the B material released after the A material that made some of these bands famous.

Overtime Game 7 is one of the absolute best things in all of sports.

Tim Friede has been bitten by snakes hundreds of times — often on purpose.

Now scientists are studying his blood in hopes of creating a better treatment for snake bites.

Life-Associated Gas was actually the name of my folk punk band back in college.

The James Webb Space Telescope may have detected life-associated gas in the atmosphere of a far-off planet. The news is being greeted with both enthusiasm and skepticism.
Is this a hint of life on another world, or just a lot of hot air?

Good for Rory. Thought he might have his own version of 13 Seconds there for a hot minute but he got it done.

Had a chance a number of years ago to sit in the 100's for a Sabres-Caps game, and Ovie's shot is still the hardest I've ever seen in person. Like #895 today, the torque that he generates is incredible to see up close.

Looking through Val Kilmer's IMDb and seeing he had a voice role a Robot Chicken brings a smile.

Also thinking about his part in Top Gun: Maverick, where the emotional impact of the scene aligned with the audience's feeling of seeing him on screen again. Like he was playing himself, in a way.
