Jeez. I had a nightmare that water had been allocated entirely towards factories by the government and an alternative to water had been created for the common people which was a pink-purple dust that would explode towards your face to hydrate you and it was clearly mind-altering in a very evil way

Nothing makes me chuckle quite like remembering my mother teaching me how to protect myself from sharks as a child, as if the likelihood of such an event occurring in our landlocked dry-ass desert state was extremely high.

Now, living on the coast in Australia, I get it. But New Mexico?? Sharks??

Yesterday, the power went out due to massive, heavy, icy, thunder-and-lightning-galore, hailstones-the-size-of-ten-cent-pieces, downpours.
During a lull between awe-inspiring, freezing assaults, the clouds above us took on strange and beautiful shapes.

Lately, I've been reading "Flowers for Algernon". It's a captivating yet gut-wrenching sci-fi novel about an intellectually disabled man who undergoes experimental surgery to increase his intelligence, written from his POV.

If you haven't been to the Melbourne Museum to see the triceratops, why the hell not? The exhibit is breathtaking
