Paul Dirac (1902, discovered the relativistic equation for fermion wave functions), Ernest Lawrence (1901, invented the cyclotron), and Roger Penrose (1931, developed global view of spacetime and much of what we know about spacetime singularities) were all born #OTD. Pretty good day for physics. 🧪 ⚛️

Ladies and gentlemen and other, the very august Publications of the National Academy of Science has some Very Import Research appropriate for These Trying Times.
A paper entitled "How to survive enormous amounts of alcohol." Apparently it is about wasps. I haven't actually read it, but the summary here says that certain wasp can basically live in alcohol for most of their lives unimpaired and I am just wondering if this is or is not something to emulate.
