Very squiggly and dense sand trail on a beach at low tide with one straight trail leasing into it at bottom left and a mound of sand under which the creature making the marks is covered at bottom right. Sand trail on a beach at low tide with less dense markings that looks like a graffiti tag. The trail starts top centre and crosses over itself. Sand trail at low tide. A wide rounded trail which meets itself at the bottom and then continues toward thw bottom of the image. The marking has a similarity to a cranium. Extensive sand trails on a beach at low tide with multiple marks some of which are very squiggly and othera are wide curvea ir straightish lines.

This isn't going to win votes, save $$, give them leverage anywhere. So why do it? I'm gonna go with a sadism the Oz ruling class often resorts to, an involuntary itch to police & punish which they have to keep scratching. Sure the ruling class are banal, dumb etc. But they also like hurting people.

As CEO of MHLEPQ, I'm clear the proposed power to cancel Centrelink payments based on an outstanding warrant is a dangerous overreach. It ties social security to policing, erodes the presumption of innocence and harms the most marginalised.

I had almost given up on achieving any writing this month ala NanoWriMo but collecting seaweed earlier today has compelled me to do so and somehow I have just written the obligatory 1600+ words. It wasn’t on the story I had planned but there is hope.

Beach life. Collecting fresh seaweed for my garden and compost, and realising this is what my ancestors, in another place, did for centuries.

During the more than 24 months of genocide, Israeli forces intentionally targeted Palestinian farmers working in the few agricultural areas that had not yet been destroyed in #Gaza, using airstrikes, direct gunfire, and repeated shelling. This turned farmlands into high-risk zones where the simple act of trying to secure food became a deadly gamble. Ongoing bombings and ground incursions also prevented farmers from accessing lands that survived earlier destruction, while other areas remained unusable due to the lack of irrigation caused by power outages, the destruction of water wells, and severe fuel shortages needed to operate irrigation systems. Available data reveals the enormous scale of destruction inflicted by #Israel on Gaza’s agricultural sector: ▪️1,218 agricultural wells were destroyed and rendered completely inoperative. ▪️Planted vegetable areas shrank from 93,000 dunams to around 4,000 dunams only. ▪️Over 85% of greenhouses were destroyed. This amounts to the total collapse of Gaza’s food production system.

Since the ceasefire began on 11Oct25, Israel has launched 125 attacks on Gaza, killing 211 people (mostly women and children). After each attack, Israel announces it is "resuming the ceasefire". Western news media says very little. 😠 #IsraeliTerrorism #GazaGenocide
