One of the problems with their condensed fronts that I have now pointed out for two seasons:

This should not be Jalen Carter's 1 gapping playground when we are condensed. Save that for a different front. His rules for condensed front not being proper lead to two low red TD runs.

Here is the 1st

They must bench Byron young at this point or account for his weakness in the run game schematically. It's ugly. I said probably months ago that Vic is sometimes slow to figure out who should be playing certain roles in his front. He's had 13 weeks.

It's late 3rd quarter, 1 point game. We are getting gashed on the ground all game long, and Vic decides multiple times to get into 5-1-penny.

Call the game that way and you deserve to lose IMO.

Every game this season Jalen Hurts threw for more than 200 yards:

Vikings: won but were a run 1st offense that game (23 passes) that caught gimmicky D for big plays

Rams: should have lost, 2 blocked FGs, horrible CBs let us back in game

Denver, Giants, Bears, Cowboys all losses

I am thankful for family and friends and all you Eagles maniacs out there.

No Super Bowl this year. The folks in charge weren’t up to the task this time. But thankful for ‘24 and for the many players and all in the organization who try to deliver a strong product for us fans.

On our 18th outside zone run of the 1st quarter. Disgrace.

Sydney left dude very open in the RZ. Almost a TD. They scored anyway. Feels like our D needs to adjust the front.

Started well, but wore down

1)Dallas OL one of NFL best
2)4-2-5 nickel front w/wide 9s is mid vs run and needs DTs to dominate, but they were just ok.
3)94 got abused couple of times
4)called condensed fronts handful of times and they were bad for all the same reasons they have been bad before
any idea why we were unable to stop the run? Javonte was always getting good +ve yards...and I was super surprised at the pass rush

If they are going to continue to run a lot of counter, It’s time to get Latu on the field more, and also find a 2nd HBack blocker type deep on roster or PS squad in case Latu is injured.

Eagles ran counter 13 times in the past 2 games.
1-They design it like they have all-pro's at every position
2-no one blocked the back side LB in any of the 4x's they ran the play vs Dallas. Disgusting.

Thread of 3 vids of counter. Eagles ran it 4 out of 9 called runs this game. They ran counter 9 times in the previous game. If this is going to be used this frequently, then in theory it is a staple run that needs to be coached up.

It was not coached up.

I think I might not think about football tonight and watch a TV show. Maybe Wednesday. After the darkness in my soul has been awakened post Dallas loss, I think the Adams girl and I have similar outlooks on life atm.

Feeling very very deep annoyance that DeJean has been at CB instead of safety all year as his 2nd position. On a short week, Vic prob feels it has to be him at CB if he’s moved to a different position.

I am starting to care less what happens because the team is making too many stupid decisions.

Ringo's 1st.....and last....snap on defense defending the pass after Adoree's injury.

Vic's confidence meter is likely at an all-time low and wasn't high to begin with.

Howie should not be allowed to make CB2 decisions in the future without consulting Eagles Bluesky.

This is what I don't like about Vic. On some snaps, if weakness at CB2, he will just roll with the punches and see if his guy can cover. That's part of the reason we lost the game IMO, not just the offense.

Adoree gets the job done this time thanks to an off the mark throw+ mildly illegal contact.
November 25, 2025 at 2:51 PM
As expected, Vic with a cover 2 man on a big money down. This is one of the ways he has protected CB2 this year. Luckily Dak doesn't see that Ferguson karate chopped Baun on his way to getting open. Dean with tight coverage on the RB.
November 25, 2025 at 2:46 PM
This is pretty cool from Uncle Vic. Volume up.

If that #2 WR released outside, I think DeJean or Adoree would have taken him. But on the inside release DeJean lets him go to Baun so that he can help double Lamb. The Eagles do similar in 3match vs trips sometimes with Baun/Blank in/outing the #3 wr.

Can someone please remind Eagles' that Duo is a run that exists? Haven't seen it since Giants.

They have at least 3 different versions of IZ they cycle through, with meh results. Fewer guys would be whiffing on blocks when their face is crossed. And we have maulers on the OL.

This is the 2nd and final hole Barkely missed. This one was more egregious. I won't get into blocking failures on other plays I get upset.

If sending Landon outside w/help of Mailata down block again
1) make it OZ instead of pin/pull
2) same side toss so Barkely gets better vision of cut back lane

If I were Howie for a day in the '25 draft, there's a > 50/50 chance Luther Burden would have been my pick at 32. The 5th yr option might come in handy at WR. I liked Jihaad a lot but would have prob gone positional value. He's on the Bears as a rookie and seems to be WR3 behind Odunze and DJ Moore.
November 25, 2025 at 12:46 PM
Sydney Brown had a rough game for someone w/only 14 coverage snaps. Missed tackle on Ferguson. Got beat over mano y mano vs Ferguson. Did not make tackle at goal line on Dak. Took out Mukuba.

If using him as anything other than deep safety, I'd rather Sam play.

Not getting hopes too high. But Nolan did play more, used his left arm a bit more, and looked closer to his old self.
November 25, 2025 at 11:20 AM
Bears' TE Loveland is not as refined as Ferguson. But he's more explosive. I don't think I would put Sydney on him. They are in 12 as much as Eagles, roughly 40%. I'd put Cooper D to Loveland's side in 12.

See how Caleb rifles down field vs cov2? No thanks. 1/4s game and help non-Q CB if needed.
November 25, 2025 at 11:08 AM
If no Dejean at Ni, I would not play cov8 and expect passing strength nickel (or LB if 3 LBs) to perform the task. So if going cover 2 to a side I’d simplify it with man underneath.

Call up Sam+Parry

Make Sydney more of a deep safety

Dunno what Vic will do
