Astonishing and grotesque statement by Trump.

Today Donald Trump saved us from some of the tariffs he put in place, in order to bring down the price of groceries he said never went up.

Q: Tariffs have been removed from these items at the grocery store. How soon do we expect prices to go down?

Hassett: Prices weren't necessarily going up because of tariffs

Q: So they might not go down?

Hassett: The prices will go down

Q: Because the tariffs have been taken off?

Hassett: Right

This is true! Other than the vague claim he was “dirty,” Epstein did not accuse Trump of any wrongdoing.

He merely said Trump knew about the hundreds of underage women that Epstein was sexually exploiting and abusing, and maintained a close personal relationship with Epstein anyway. Nothing BAD
Kate Bolduan: "The president has not been accused of any crimes or wrongdoing as it relates to Jeffrey Epstein or these files even with these emails being released. That's one thing we need to make clear. There's no accusations of any wrongdoing so far."

"The message is not that Trump is innocent, it's that *everyone is guilty.* Everyone assaults women, cheats on their taxes, uses public office for private gain. Propriety and following the rules? That stuff is for suckers. In a world of grift and graft, the most corrupt man should be king."
Why Trump can't make the Epstein scandal go away
His ordinary scandal management techniques are not working.

That our economy is booming, while they refuse to publish unemployment and inflation reports.

That they want to expose the deep state cabal, while they actively protect them in the Epstein files.

You can either be gaslit forever or demand a better government.

The choice is yours.

It might be in the form of a beautiful bird that lands in a branch outside your window. It might be an unexpectedly warm day in November. The 2,000 dollars is a state of mind, man. It’s a vibe.

Not three months ago, Bondi and Patel stated unequivocally that there was nothing more to investigate (but that is indeed the reason the will give for not releasing the files now)
Instead of just releasing the Epstein files, Trump ordered the DOJ to investigate Democrats and AG Pam Bondi is complying.

Are they setting up a pretext to block the release by arguing the files are now part of an active investigation? I’m not saying that would work, but he’s desperate to block.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

Predictable but still amazing to watch people who spent literally years accusing every librarian, teacher, and trans person they could find of sexually grooming children suddenly throw themselves in with "actually it's ephebophilia"
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

For years they droned on about “the Deep State” - a powerful cabal that controlled everything.

Then they set their sights on “the Epstein list” - a powerful cabal that preyed on children.

(Spoiler: it’s the same cabal)

Now they’re in power, guess who is protecting this cabal?

They are.

Odd.

Trump is on live TV saying he wants to rig elections so Democrats can’t return to power. The most corrupt, anti-American administration in our history.
Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."

I just feel it necessary to explain that if this one line were true, what he’s saying is American consumers are paying a tax out of their own pockets to keep the global economy from collapsing.
Trump: "If I didn't have tariffs, the entire would be in a depression."

When people glorify ‘Tough On Crime’ they are just saying that they are gleefully punitive & nothing more.

Being tough on crime isn’t the same as addressing crime. We know that the largest predictor for reducing crime is addressing need.

Reducing benefits increases crime, endangering everyone.
With millions at risk of losing SNAP in the coming days, a reminder: hunger doesn't happen in isolation. When food assistance disappears, families use rent money to eat. Then come evictions and homelessness.

Housing, food, healthcare—it's all connected. Cut one thread and the whole thing unravels.

This country is allowed to have tariffs. You just have to convince Congress that they're a good idea.

The President can hold tariff powers instead of Congress, if you can convince voters to amend the Constitution.

If you can't convince anyone of anything, rethink your ideas.
Trump: "If this country is not allowed to have tariffs, if this country is not allowed to have the president negotiate on behalf of it w/tariffs, we are put in a position where we're gonna be a 3rd world country. We can't let that happen. I think it's the most important case that we are gonna have"
