ACTUALLY Keep America Healthy - Extend the ACA
Text SIGN PMHIST to 50409 — I am writing as your constituent to urge you to protect and extend the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its enhanced premium tax credits. Letting these protections and subsidies expire would be devastating for millions of Americans. Since the ACA’s major provisions took effect, more than 38 million people have gained coverage and the uninsured rate has nearly been cut in half, from 14.4% in 2013 to 7.9% in 2023 (https://www.shadac.org/news/15-years-affordable-care-act-more-americans-ever-have-health-insurance-coverage). In 2024, about 44 million people were enrolled in coverage through the ACA marketplaces or Medicaid expansion—roughly 1 in 6 non-elderly Americans (https://www.kff.org/affordable-care-act/affordable-care-act-marketplace-and-medicaid-expansion-enrollment-reached-a-combined-44-million-in-2024/). Allowing these pillars to lapse would reverse more than a decade of progress. Recent analysis of ACA-related rollback legislation shows what is at stake. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that a recent House reconciliation bill—similar in impact to past ACA repeal efforts—would lead to about 16 million people losing health coverage, including nearly 11 million losing Medicaid and about 5 million losing marketplace coverage (https://www.medicarerights.org/medicare-watch/2025/06/05/official-house-bill-analysis-confirms-devastating-coverage-losses; https://www.brookings.edu/articles/new-cbo-estimates-show-2025-reconciliation-bill-would-have-impacts-similar-in-magnitude-to-2017-aca-repeal-bills/). That is not an abstract number; those are our neighbors, co-workers, and family members. If enhanced ACA subsidies expire, many people will be priced out of coverage. A recent KFF/Reuters survey found that about a quarter of ACA enrollees say they would likely go uninsured in 2026 if subsidies end and premiums double (https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/obamacare-premium-spikes-could-drive-off-enrollees-most-want-subsidy-extension-2025-12-04/). Premium spikes and coverage losses will mean more medical debt, more delayed care, and more uncompensated care that strains hospitals and state budgets. The ACA also protects people with pre-existing conditions. Analyses have found that over 100 million Americans live with conditions that could put their coverage or premiums at risk if these protections disappear (https://advisory.avalerehealth.com/press-releases/repeal-of-acas-pre-existing-condition-protections-could-affect-health-security-of-over-100-million-people). In addition, the ACA guarantees no-cost coverage of many preventive services—such as blood pressure checks, diabetes and cholesterol tests, and cancer screenings—so people can catch disease early instead of in the ER (https://www.healthcare.gov/coverage/preventive-care-benefits/; https://healthpolicy.fsi.stanford.edu/news/millions-could-lose-no-cost-preventive-services-if-scotus-upholds-ruling). Rolling back these provisions would lead to more late-stage illness and higher long-term costs. I urge you to: Extend and make permanent the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credits; Preserve and strengthen Medicaid expansion; Protect pre-existing condition safeguards; and Maintain guaranteed, no-cost preventive services. Please put the health and financial security of your constituents ahead of short-term politics. The ACA is working; do not allow its core protections to expire.

Let Jack Smith testify publicly!
Text SIGN PAUZSZ to 50409 — I am writing to demand—clearly and unequivocally—that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s testimony be made fully public. The American people have the right to hear directly from the individual tasked with investigating matters of extraordinary national consequence. Transparency is not optional. It is a foundational requirement of a functioning democracy. For years, Americans have been inundated with speculation, partisan spin, selective leaks, and competing narratives. What we have not been given is the unfiltered truth. There is no justification—none—for withholding the testimony of a public official whose work directly affects public trust, public institutions, and the integrity of our justice system. When oversight is shielded from view, confidence erodes. When critical testimony is delivered behind closed doors, suspicion grows. And when Congress hides information that belongs to the American people, it is Congress—not the investigators—who undermines the credibility of the process. Make Jack Smith’s testimony public. Release the full transcript, the full video, and the full record—without edits, without omissions, and without political interference. Stop playing gatekeeper with information that belongs to all of us. Americans deserve the truth. All of it. And we deserve it now.

THEY ARE NOT THE BEST. THESE PEOPLE NEED FIRING
Text SIGN PHARCM to 50409 — What we’re reading… Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump continue to distance themselves from the apparent war crime and/or murder on the high seas. Exhibiting a true warrior ethos via social media, Hegseth pinned the blame for the order to kill on a rogue admiral, posting: “Admiral Mitch Bradley is an American hero, a true professional, and has my 100% support. I stand by him and the combat decisions he has made—on the September 2 mission and all others since.” What a weasel. He’s not responsible. And the president didn’t even know this was going on. But he supports whatever it is. Maybe. A document written for congressional leadership by retired and active-duty FBI agents and analysts of the first six months of Kash Patel’s FBI leadership was leaked. They said Patel is “in over his head” and that deputy FBI director Dan Bongino is “something of a clown.” Both Patel and Bongino are arrogant, the report says, and have an “unfortunate obsession with social media.” Under Patel, they say, the FBI is a “rudderless ship” and “all f*cked up.” Trump insisted that “affordability” doesn’t mean anything to anybody,” At a Cabinet meeting this week, between naps, Trump announced that “the word ‘affordability’ is a Democrat scam.” The secretary of commerce, billionaire Howard Lutnick, admitted to CNBC that Trump’s policies have caused disruption, but promised they would start to build the economy in 2026. “Remember,” he said, “as you deport people, that’s going to suppress private job numbers of small businesses. But they’ll rebalance and they’ll regrow. So I think this is just a near-term event and you’ll see as the numbers come through over the next couple of months, you’ll see that all pass, and next year the numbers are going to be fantastic.” So speaks the billionaire class. FU both. Jim Jordan subpoenaed former special counsel Jack Smith to testify in private, rejecting Smith’s offer to testify in public. Why behind closed doors? We the people would like to hear from Smith. We paid for whatever information he learned. We don’t want Jim Jordan’s version. Senators have asked Pam Bondi for a briefing no later than Friday on what she has claimed is “new” material in the Epstein files. Info that she said on November 14 had caused her to initiate investigations into connections between Epstein, Bill Clinton and other Dems. Even though on July 7, a FBI memo said there was no new evidence to open new investigations “against uncharged third parties.” Just another AG attempt to shield Trump. First by saying that there was no information in the files that would warrant an investigation of “uncharged third parties.” But then opening such investigations on Democrats to muddy the waters, and possibly claim that she could not release the files because of ongoing investigations. It’s long past time for the GOP Congress to take responsibility for putting these clowns in positions to run the country. Party loyalty is one thing. Blind obedience in supporting incompetence at the highest level is a violation of the oath you took to serve the country. Step up. Because none of this is serving the country.

"Congress must act to restore integrity and trust.” Chuck Grassley on 9/8/21
Text SIGN PMLJDU to 50409 — This administration continues to defy court orders and break the law. Most recently, Alina Habba was illegal appointed. Lindsey Halligan's appointment was so blatantly a weaponized and illegal appointment to indict James Comey and Leticia James that the judge had to dismiss charges. Kristi Noem has also admitted to have ignored Judge Boabert's orders. Here are some of your own words in the past. “The Department of Justice must always be impartial, fair, and above politics. The American people need to trust that justice is blind and is administered equally under the law.” (Grassley Senate Judiciary Remarks, June 15, 2023; www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases) “We cannot tolerate an executive branch that picks and chooses which court rulings to follow. That threatens the balance of powers and the foundations of our democracy.” (Grassley Hearing Statements, March 22, 2022; www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases) “When the Justice Department fails to respect its legal obligations, Congress must act to restore integrity and trust.” (Grassley Calls for DOJ Oversight, September 8, 2021; www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases) So my question to you is this - As Sr Judiciary Republican, how are you encouraging Congress to act and restore integrity and trust to the justice department?

Trump’s gas guzzler mentality world ender.
Text SIGN PRXTGY to 50409 — I am writing to urge you to oppose the Trump Regime’s rollback of federal fuel-efficiency standards. This decision will raise costs for American families, weaken U.S. competitiveness, and increase our dependence on foreign oil. No matter our politics, lowering these standards is a step backward for the country. Fuel-efficient vehicles save drivers thousands of dollars over a car’s lifetime. The Biden-era rules—modest by historical standards—were set to reach about 50 miles per gallon by 2031. Politico reports that these standards would have significantly reduced fuel costs for consumers while helping U.S. automakers compete in a global market that increasingly demands cleaner, more efficient technology. The Trump Regime is instead dropping the target to just 34 miles per gallon by 2031. The Associated Press confirms that this change will force drivers to burn much more fuel, raising long-term expenses for millions of Americans. InsideClimate News notes that weakening these standards gives foreign automakers a sizable advantage, especially those already investing heavily in efficient and lower-cost vehicles. At a moment when the global auto industry is innovating rapidly, this rollback pushes American manufacturers in the opposite direction. E&E News has called this the most consequential regulatory reversal yet, undermining decades of bipartisan support for stronger efficiency rules. Administrations from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush strengthened fuel-economy standards because reducing oil consumption protects national security and keeps economic benefits at home. Today, companies like Ford, GM, and Stellantis are investing in high-efficiency and electric technologies because that is where the global market is headed. Forcing them to produce less efficient vehicles deliberately handicaps American workers and our long-term competitiveness. This rollback is not about consumer choice. It is about making Americans spend more on gasoline at a time when families are already strained, while letting foreign competitors out-innovate us. Congress must intervene by investigating the political pressure behind this decision, demanding a full analysis of long-term consumer costs, and using legislative or budgetary tools to block the rule from advancing. Protecting American families, workers, and our economic future requires stopping this harmful rollback. It benefits only oil companies and foreign competitors, and Congress has a responsibility to prevent it.

Congress Must Stop Trump Regime’s Rollback of Fuel Standards
Text SIGN PTYBKD to 50409 — I am writing to urge you to immediately oppose the Trump Regime’s rollback of federal fuel-efficiency standards. This move directly raises costs for American families, hands a competitive advantage to foreign carmakers, and deepens our dependence on foreign oil. No matter our politics, this is a step backward for the country. Multiple independent analyses show that fuel-efficient vehicles save drivers thousands of dollars over the life of a car. The Biden-era standards—modest by historical comparison—would have reached about 50 miles per gallon by 2031. According to reporting by Politico, those standards would have saved consumers significant money at the pump while keeping U.S. automakers competitive in a global market where efficiency and advanced tech are quickly becoming non-negotiable. Instead, the Trump Regime is slashing the target to just 34 miles per gallon by 2031. The Associated Press confirms that this change means cars will burn substantially more fuel, raising long-term costs for American drivers. InsideClimate News reports that weakening these standards gives foreign automakers—especially those investing in cheaper-to-run, efficient vehicles—a huge advantage over American manufacturers. E&E News notes that this is the most consequential regulatory rollback yet, undercutting not just environmental protections but decades of bipartisan presidential support for stronger efficiency rules. From Ford to GM to Stellantis, the global market is already shifting toward high-efficiency and electric technologies. If the U.S. forces its own companies to produce less efficient cars, we are deliberately handicapping American workers and undermining an industry that should be leading the world. This rollback is not about consumer freedom. It is about forcing Americans to spend more on gasoline—at a time when working families are already stretched—and letting foreign competitors out-innovate us. Even the Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations strengthened fuel standards because they understood that reducing oil consumption protects national security and keeps American dollars in America. Congress must step in. I strongly urge you to: • Hold immediate oversight hearings into the political pressure behind this rollback • Demand a full economic analysis of long-term consumer costs • Prevent this harmful rule from moving forward through legislative or budgetary action Please protect American families, American workers, and our nation’s long-term economic strength. This rollback serves no one except oil companies and foreign competitors. It is Congress’s responsibility to stop it.

🖋️ “Oppose USDA's Unauthorized Demand for SNAP Recipient Data” hit 500 signers!

💬 Text SIGN PRENGP to 50409
Oppose USDA's Unauthorized Demand for SNAP Recipient Data
Text SIGN PRENGP to 50409 — The USDA is threatening to withhold food assistance from states unless they surrender complete SNAP recipient data, including names and immigration status. This demand exceeds the agency's statutory authority and contradicts what Congress authorized and funded. I urge you to intervene immediately to protect both the integrity of the SNAP program and the privacy rights of millions of Americans. SNAP currently serves one in eight Americans, including children, seniors, people with disabilities, and working families. The administration's ultimatum is clear: surrender private constituent data or vulnerable people lose access to food. This is not a legitimate fraud prevention measure. It is an unauthorized expansion of executive power that weaponizes a critical nutrition program. Congress established SNAP to address food insecurity, not to create a surveillance database. The program operates through federal funding distributed to states, which administer benefits according to federal eligibility standards. Nothing in the authorizing legislation permits the USDA to condition funding on the collection and transfer of detailed personal information beyond what is necessary to verify eligibility and prevent fraud. States already report required data on program participation and outcomes. This demand places states in an impossible position: comply with an unlawful directive and violate their residents' privacy, or refuse and watch families go hungry. Neither option is acceptable. The consequences extend beyond immediate food insecurity. Families may disenroll from SNAP out of fear, even if they are legally eligible, leading to increased hunger and its associated health costs. I ask you to take immediate action to clarify congressional intent. Issue a public statement affirming that SNAP funding must flow to states without conditions beyond those Congress established. Demand that the USDA rescind this unauthorized data collection requirement. If necessary, introduce or support legislation that explicitly prohibits conditioning nutrition assistance on data demands that exceed statutory requirements. Millions of your constituents depend on SNAP for basic nutrition. They deserve both food security and privacy protection.

We want clean air!
Text SIGN PHUWIU to 50409 — I am writing to demand that you protect—and strengthen—our nation’s clean air standards. High fuel-efficiency requirements, strict exhaust limits, and robust clean-air regulations are not optional luxuries. They are essential protections for public health, economic stability, and environmental responsibility. Americans across every state deserve to breathe air that is safe. Rolling back MPG requirements or weakening emissions standards serves no one except the corporations that profit from pollution. Meanwhile, the public pays the price in higher healthcare costs, more respiratory illness, and a warming climate that threatens our communities. We know what works: higher MPG means less fuel burned, less pollution, and lower costs for families. Strong emissions standards mean cleaner skies, fewer smog alerts, and healthier children. These are proven, popular policies supported by decades of science and the lived experience of millions of Americans. Do not move backward. Do not let industry lobbyists dictate the quality of the air we breathe. Stand up for clean air, for public health, for a livable climate, and for the future we are leaving to the next generation. Strengthen these standards. Defend them. Expand them. The American people are watching—and we expect action.

12 Former FDA Chiefs: New Vaccine Rules Undermine Scientific Integrity
Text SIGN PKFMZZ to 50409 — I’m writing to demand immediate congressional oversight of the assault on science and public health at the FDA and CDC. Last week, Dr. Vinay Prasad, the FDA’s top vaccine regulator, sent an internal memo claiming without evidence that COVID-19 vaccines killed 10 children and announcing sweeping changes to vaccine approval processes. He provided no explanation of the process or analyses used to reach this “new retrospective judgment” despite FDA staff having previously reviewed these cases and drawn different conclusions. On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, 12 former FDA commissioners from both Republican and Democratic administrations published a letter in the New England Journal of Medicine warning that these proposed changes would “upend core policies governing vaccine development and updates” and “undermine the public interest.” Former CDC leaders issued similar warnings. The commissioners wrote that the changes “would dramatically change vaccine regulation on the basis of a reinterpretation of selective evidence and by a process that breaks sharply with the norms that have anchored the FDA’s globally respected scientific integrity.” This isn’t isolated to one memo. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. completely overhauled the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the committee that advises the CDC on vaccine policy. The former commissioners warned that supplanting expert scientific inquiry with “the unilateral decision making of a few individuals” will suppress innovation, slow vaccine updates for emerging diseases, and risk Americans’ health and safety. If the goal is rebuilding confidence in public health agencies, the answer is not tossing aside basic rules of science or stifling oversight. I’m calling on you to hold immediate oversight hearings with the 12 former FDA commissioners and former CDC leaders who signed these warnings. Subpoena the evidence Prasad claims justifies these policy changes. Demand transparency about how these decisions are being made and who is making them. Require FDA and CDC leadership to explain under oath how abandoning decades of scientific process serves public health. Americans deserve agencies that insist on open deliberation, solid evidence, and procedures the public can trust. Right now, we’re getting the opposite.

HAS THE GOP CONGRESS FINALLY HAD ENOUGH? PROVE IT
Text SIGN PJVJWJ to 50409 — On Air Force One, our president responded oddly to a reporter’s question about Tim Walz’s call for him to release his MRI results: “[I]f they want to release it, it’s okay with me to release it,” Trump said. “It’s perfect. It’s like my phone call where I got impeached. It’s absolutely perfect…. [I]f you want to have it released, I’ll release it.” When a reporter asked “What part of your body was the MRI looking at?” Trump answered: “I have no idea. It was just an MRI. What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it. I got a perfect mark, which you would be incapable of doing,” he said, pointing at the female reporter. He then pointed at another female reporter and said: “You, too.” The man is not well. And we’re sick of him taking it out on women reporters simply trying to do their jobs. This is unacceptable behavior from anyone, much less the president. Late night TV might be having fun with this stuff but we the people are not. Where is the responsible leadership in Washington? We don’t want Captain Queeg for president. Next up. It’s reported Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered Special Ops commander Admiral Frank “Mitch” Bradley to “kill everyone” in a small boat off the coast of Venezuela on September 2. After a first strike left two survivors clinging to burning wreckage, Bradley ordered a second strike that killed the survivors. Hegseth appeared to make fun of events. He posted an AI-faked cover of a children’s book featuring Franklin the Turtle with the title “Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists.” It showed the fake Franklin in a military vest and helmet at the open door of a helicopter, firing what appears to be a rocket launcher at a burning small boat with a person and bundles in it while two other boats with armed men and bundles converge nearby. Above the image, the post read: “For your Christmas wish list…” Hegseth might think targeting and murdering survivors is funny, but he’s about the only one who does. And it seems he’s figured out that it’s not the laughing matter he thinks it is. Because the scene is being set to throw Admiral Bradley under the bus. Hegseth posted: “Admiral Mitch Bradley is an American hero, a true professional, and has my 100% support. I stand by him and the combat decisions he has made—on the September 2 mission and all others since.” To which a commentator promptly responded: “Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.” In The Atlantic, national security scholar Tom Nichols called out Hegseth, for acting like “a sneering, spoiled punk who has been caught doing wrong and is now daring the local fuzz to take him in and risk the anger of his rich dad—a role fulfilled by Donald Trump, in this case.” The president doesn’t know what’s going on, just ask him. But he believes Pete when he said he didn’t do it. So yeah, he’s a rich dad covering for his spoiled kid. And neither one of them are going to take personal responsibility for this, or anything else requiring bravery, truth, moral integrity or allegiance to American values. They are not capable, trustworthy, competent or credible on any issue requiring true leadership. It’s time the GOP Congress took some responsibility for getting us to this point, redeem the power you were given by we the people, and help do something to fix the country. How did you think all of this would end when you allowed, accepted, enabled, tolerated, covered for, and agreed with all the lies, misinformation, and incompetence? You’re finally finding out.

Restore CDC Funding to Protect Public Health and Save Lives
Text SIGN PBVLRW to 50409 — I am deeply concerned about the current state of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and urge immediate action to restore critical programs and personnel. The CDC, our nation's frontline defense against health threats, is in critical condition due to severe budget cuts and staff reductions. Recent reports indicate that the CDC has lost between a quarter to a third of its workforce through multiple rounds of job cuts. This drastic reduction has led to the termination of vital public health programs targeting smoking reduction, dental health, and gun violence prevention. Even more alarming is the loss of staff trained for radiation emergencies and outbreak responses, leaving our nation vulnerable to future health crises. The consequences of these cuts extend far beyond the agency itself. By diminishing the CDC's capabilities, we are jeopardizing our ability to prevent diseases, respond to outbreaks, and protect public health. This short-sighted approach to budget management will likely result in higher healthcare costs and increased mortality rates in the long run. Furthermore, the appointment of officials who may not fully support evidence-based practices, such as vaccine promotion, threatens to undermine public trust in this critical institution. The CDC's ability to effectively communicate scientific consensus on issues like vaccines, autism, and measles is crucial for maintaining public health. Investing in the CDC is an investment in prevention, which pays significant dividends in both lives saved and healthcare costs avoided. I strongly urge you to take immediate action to restore funding to the CDC, reinstate terminated programs, and ensure that the agency is led by experienced public health professionals who respect scientific consensus. The health and safety of our nation depend on a robust and fully functional CDC. Please act now to reverse these damaging cuts and strengthen our public health infrastructure before we face another major health crisis unprepared.

ICE has become a monster destroying rights, spreading terror: REIN IT IN
Text SIGN PEJANI to 50409 — You created a monster. ICE is shredding the constitution, violating habeas corpus, and now seeking to monitor and detain people for their beliefs. ICE agents are allowed to use racial and ethnic profiling because of Bret Kavanaugh. They do not have to show warrants when they kidnap people. They do not identify themselves. They use excessive force. Now some 70,000 people are held in detention. ICE has blocked members of Congress from performing their legal duty to inspect. They have tazed pregnant women and assaulted bystanders. They have been caught lying about events. More people have died in ICE detention than ever before. ICE tactics look like the Nazis. They are not making America safe or great. They are not catching criminals they are stealing our neighbors and wrecking industries. Remember that immigrants pay taxes. Now mega corps are making a profit by detaining ICE victims and those detainees are no longer contributing to the economy. I am outraged by the injustice and brutality and lawless conduct of ICEA agents. Outraged. You should be too. Congressional inaction has enabled this. You have funded ICE so that it's better resources than many nations militaries. You have created a monster. You have enabled fascism. Your complicity is part of every cruel and unjust act, every act of brutality and terror, committed by ICE. It's time for you to rein back ICE. Demand warrants. Forbid masks. Forbid bounties and trafficking. No more detaining innocent people. Most immigration issues are CIVIL not criminal offences. You've allowed the USA to be infected by the terror and brutality of unregulated masked brutal thugs. You've allowed families to be torn apart, children separated from their parents and honest hard working people who showed up to their court hearings correctly to be kidnapped. For what? For fear, racism and corporate profit of the concentration camp operators. Congress needs to stop this nightmare. Start by legislating some guardrails. Start with subpoenas and hearings. Fix this moral stain.
