The New Mexico Meadow Jumping Mouse is about 9" long with up to a 6" tail. Lives among the grassy rivers edge and eats flowers and grass. If startled can jump up 6' and make 12' leaps. Nocturnal, they are rarely seen. Important to our ecosystem, Endangered
