Some people argue that getting the added time off their sentence is worth more than actual wages but it is pretty gross how little these inmates are paid relative to how dangerous the work is. Common decency dictates that they should be paid fairly just like their non-incarcerated counterparts.
There are now 1,100+ incarcerated firefighters on the LA frontlines, including 50+ youth.
The jobs are highly coveted - some of the most meaningful activities available in CA prison, but they risk their lives for $5-10 a day. Several have died in recent yrs + many struggle to get jobs after prison.

For real. The only reason I am able to live in an uber-expensive city is because of being well connected to various different transit options close in to downtown. Not needing to own a car to get around is a massive game changer & is absolutely vital in solving housing affordability.

I'm not a super avid gamer and most games I do play are already pretty well known but one that does fit the criteria that is criminally underrated IMO that I would highly recommend is "OneShot". A beautiful story driven game in the same vein as Undertale.

If I want to indulge in flipping the script of the "Live-action Remake" formula a good candidate for a live-action film to get an animated-remake would be "Sin City". Super stylized & based on an iconic graphic novel.
