Two weeks ago, during #JOTA , someone was really impressed by the #SI4732 #mini #radio so I give my device to him.

I bought a new one (V3) and the #hardware #mod for #RTTY decoder is already made.

During the UHF and up #contest we made some QSO on 122 GHz (wavelength is 2.5mm) between #Netherlands and #Germany
RF power was only 0.5 mW (-3dBm) in FM F3E.

The #Baofeng UV-5R mini is a nice looking handheld #radio #transceiver but the stock #antenna is worthless on #2m #145MHz
This Retevis RHD-701 works much better.

In between some appointments, I stopped near a small forest for a #test in a #QRM free area
There only was some QRM from the #SI4732 itself but I could #decode #Pinneberg good on #longwave 147 kHz

The #antenna is on the roof, the #repeater in the rack and 3 #hamnet links are active again. We went home at 17u

My old #frequency #counter couldn't handle #23cm so that's a good reason to build a new one (up to 2.4 GHz).
After adding a #preamp, the counter easily picks up #70cm from 5m.
