The other day, JD Vance said that politics are overwhelming the courts. He thought he was saying something about the judges, but he was really saying, the silent part out loud.

If this doesn’t convince people that if we don’t nullify the effects of money on elections, we’re lost. We should be calling for UNIVERSAL VOTING; Fri-Sun, voting. At least discussing MANDATORY VOTING, like Australia. Banning private $, No Corp $. We need to color outside the lines people.

Just read Ben Rhodes opinion piece in the NYTimes. A fine piece, a good mind. I remain amazed however by how inside the lines Democratic resistance remains. No call for Universal voting; weekend voting, even mandatory voting as in Australia.
No strategy to protect our politics from the power of $

Leonardo DiCaprio made it possible for you to see Vigilante (about the recent voter suppression) for free online. Don’t miss the single woman in ga. who challenged 39,000 voters.

No talk of the way rich people benefit from markets sinking. Puts, calls, invers ETF’s,selling short. Trump’s people know all this. Know how to profit in markets disrupted by tariffs. Why no explanation of this by TV/social media pundits? Another Trump scam. Only the little people suffer.

Catherine Stewart’s book, money, lies, and God lays the root of todays anarchic nihilism roiling usto the 50 year growth of economic inequity, scouring workers. Dems have failed to protect our politics from the power of capital. It remains unaddressed.

For younger readers who may think Trump an aberration, look up Lewis Powells Memo to the US chamber of Commerce, where he laid out the plan for Conservatives to consolidate power in 1968. His plan was funded by the Koch Brothers, Richard Scaife, Joseph Coors, and the Republicans followed i in lock

Let’s get real about the corporate sector a minute. Their legal responsibility is to make profits for their shareholders not the American people. Why are they allowed to contribute to elections?
Why don’t we the people pay for our elections if we want legislators to work for us?

This corporate takeover of the public airwaves began with the canceling of the fairness doctrine, by Reagan. Google it. It’s spawned hate Radio and right wing evangelical radio even as newspapers failed across the Midwest and reporting from State capitols diminished. Fact, free living.
