For any Irish housing plan to succeed, point number one on it has to be getting FF and FG out of government, and point number two, keeping them out for as long as is humanly possible.
They have failed. They will never succeed. Time to give someone else a chance.
Sinn Féin's housing spokesperson Eoin Ó Broin did not hold back in his blistering criticism of the Government's long-delayed housing plan during Leaders' Questions today.

He accused the Government of “brazenly trying to rebrand unaffordable private homes as affordable”.

When I started to criticize wild promises for carbon dioxide capture & removal in 2022, I took *so much shit* from the energy modelers and journalists promoting it, but those same people are silent now that even the scientists who first imagined the tech are increasingly mounting the same criticism.

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.
