Cyber security - the solutions that should be put in place are simple. The action of convincing people it’s a necessity is the difficult part.
“MFA is an inconvenience” - if it’s not in place and we become a victim of a cyber attack, that’s the inconvenience.

X hasn’t been a thing for me for ages, but Threads has started being a political, horribly unpleasant place. Here will do.

More hilarity as people blame Richard Branson for Virgin TV not working. 😆
Richard Branson does not and never has owned Virgin Media. Please keep ‘em coming!!
August 15, 2025 at 8:57 PM
“I'm going to jump on social media and complain that Virgin Media are ‘robbing bastards’, provide a ‘rubbish service’, and announce to the world that ‘I’m moving provider’, then tomorrow, when it's all fixed… I'm going to do nothing”
And so begins the great circle of complaint. 😆

I'm glad a search on the socials shows I'm not the only one with Virgin TV issues. Every channel is pixelated. I'm sure they'll sort it out soon.
Now’s a good time to lurk on the internet and laugh at the die-hard complaining keyboard warriors 😆

It's been a rollercoaster of a month or so - work, family, home. I'm absolutely ready for some time off.
I'd also like to say I'm incredibly proud of my son. He's been through quite a journey culminating in top surgery a couple of weeks ago. The boy is happy; the dad is proud as hell.

Dear Mr Starmer,
I never usually vote in elections; however, at the last election, I voted for Labour as “the best of a bad bunch” to help remove the Tories and because of your relatively positive views on the LGBTQ+ community…
April 23, 2025 at 6:02 AM
My trust in the current government when it come to LGBTQ+ issues is gradually declining. With the Supreme Court’s recent ruling and Starmer’s stance on trans people revealed today, I have little hope.

So many things have angered me in the last week or so: the Supreme Court’s ruling about the legality of the word “woman” and Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s speech on autism. You couldn’t write this utter rubbish.

Dear World Leaders,

What have you done to this planet and why do you keep doing it?? Just leave us normal people to get on with life, will you?

So, not only is this Signal group chat leak an embarrassment for American national security, it’s also an embarrassment that the US government thinks it’s ok 🤦‍♂️

Good afternoon, Bluesky.

Sitting down for lunch and wondered what story would amuse me from today’s quote. I won’t like, but this Andrew Tate quote made me laugh out loud. What a buffoon.

Tate brothers report to Romania police after return from US www.bbc.com/news/article...

I hope someone is writing an epic sitcom about governments right now. You are being presented with the material for global success daily.

It may be a little dramatic, a little overreactive. However, the USA is starting to look a little like North Korea.

Remind me again how we in the UK are supposed to welcome him on a state visit? Rulez is rulez. Stay away, Mr Trump.

And no matter how you’ve chosen to justify your allegiance to him, ultimately you made your decision, and quite frankly, I have lost the respect for and the affinity I had with you.

There is a divide between us now that will never be completely removed.

Trump’s state visit. Convicted felon. Is he allowed to come, anyway?

I see all the comments regarding the Trump/Zelensky meeting favouring the Ukrainian president.
Of course, Trump will still claim “everyone agrees with me”.
March 1, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Can someone give Donald Trump a slap, please?
February 20, 2025 at 5:19 PM
Mr Farage has been quiet since Inauguration Day. I thought he’d be everywhere agreeing with all those orders Trump signed. Bit scared of comeback?

Barclays have reported that their services are back up and running and that balances will be up to date by the end of Sunday.
To all my tech support friends in Barclays, well done in what must have been a very stressful time.

Attended the second Cyber Security Roadshow session from Virtue Technologies today.
The education sector is getting quite scary when it comes to cyber attacks of any kind. Get your networks secure and your staff, students, and parents educated, people!

Today’s the day America goes backwards instead of moving forward. The word “diversity” is being completely removed from its vocabulary, and I couldn’t be sadder for the diverse among the American population. You have allies across the world, friends. Don’t despair.
