Gotta say, as the owner of three and foster of one, it isn't that hard to keep cats happy as indoor pets or to harness train for outdoor adventures. I'm in favour of curfews. i.stuff.co.nz/national/133...
Forest & Bird calls for night-time cat curfews
A dusk-to-dawn curfew and "catios" should be used to contain domestic cats, the environmental organisation says.

And this is why I have made sure to pick up a few months supply from my local chemist.
Just because the current Govt is irresponsible doesn't mean I should be.
"While RATs might still be useful for people to test themselves in instances like visiting at-risk relatives, “whether it’s justified to keep free access for RATs for the general population is another question”. ..... I have no words for how irresponsible that comment is

Fuck me. I've never seen such a callow, mean comment as this.

There was no press release about it, but Transport Minister Simeon Brown has quietly told officials to stop work on policies that would provide transport alternatives to private cars.

All NZ's infrastructure: water, health, transport, etc. is going to be owned by foreign corporates and we'll be paying for it for ever. #nzpol

The absolute sheer audacity of government MPs saying this morning they're doing all they can to support charities like Meet the Need while simultaneously unwinding the very Fair Pay Agreements (under urgency no less!!) That prevent the need for food relief in the first place. Despicable.

It tells you another thing.

It says there are a lot of people who are not capable of decoding the differences between campaign rhetoric and how it will affect them in reality.

This chasm of understanding is the only way Tories get elected. Yet somehow we never close off this gap...
