I expected to be disappointed.

This will be a long thread, so you, also, should expect to be disappointed.

It started with a #BOGO sale at #LundsAndByerlys for, among other things, #BeyondMeat burger patties. The BOGO made it much cheaper than their Premium Beef patties, so we rolled the dice.
Photo of my breakfast sandwich from this morning. Homemade sourdough bread, sliced thin, buttered on one side and pan fried (on the buttered side) to toast golden brown and crispy. American Cheese slice, ripped in half so neither over-ran the edge of the bread. A Beyond Meat Spicy Breakfast Sausage was fried in a separate pan, then cut into quarters to place evenly on the somewhat semi-circular bread. Then a fried egg added, before setting the other slice of toasted, cheesed bread on top. L&B's online shopping system shows Beyond Meat Beyond Burger Plant-Based Burger Patties, 8 Ounce $7.99 ...$1.00/oz L&B's online shopping shows L&B Premium Blend Chuck, Brisket & Short Rib Burger Single, 8 ounce $4.49 ...$0.56/oz was $4.99 L&B online shopping shows Beyond Meat Beyond Breakfast Sausage Spicy Plant-Based Patties, 7.4oz $6.29 ...$0.85/oz
