My first set of stippled fish that I made in 2019 during my PhD in Texas. These were donated to the Southern Division of the American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting silent auction held in Galveston, Texas. #sciart #freshwaterfish

I first tried stippling in high school art class (the only failing grade I received in high school) and didn’t try again until I was encouraged to use this technique for snail illustrations by one of my professors and mentors during my undergrad as part of a freshwater snail key for Wisconsin.
