It’s five years this month since lockdown forced us all indoors, our faces squashed into a gallery of flat squares. What’s happened since then? For me, lots of good things.

@peterprinsleymp.bsky.social Thank you for your dogged persistence with rural bus services. Mulleys M40 Thurston-Bury has been a lifeline since it launched in July. The service runs to time and many people now rely on it. But not all at the same time! Might a smaller bus be better?

I took a tumble on holiday. My first big #parkinson’s fall in six years.
It wasn’t pretty, and it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but I’m still in one piece and raring to go. Here’s how I might improve things next time.

The thesaurus is not your friend. You don’t need new words to make your writing more interesting; you need more interesting things to say using the words you already have.

@the-ciep.bsky.social Happy conference everyone! I have so many happy memories of past conferences, where I’ve learned so much and met so many amazing people, many of whom still follow my Parky progress - thanks for your support!

@peterprinsleymp.bsky.social “If we all knew a little bit more about our health, we might all look after it a little bit better.” Well said - we need to put ourselves at the centre of our healthcare teams.

Balance is a complicated topic to explain well, but @Neuro Heroes' Laura Douglas does it with ease, authority and fun. Another brilliant pod from the @2parkiesinapod.bsky.social Dave and Kuhan. Ooh, and there’s a little surprise at 44:45! #parkinsons #balance podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/g...

@peterprinsleymp.bsky.social Cleft stick - to travel comfortably to a #PIP assessment, people with #Parkinsons need to be well-medicated. But if we turn up well-medicated, the assessors won't see us at our very worst.
