This is a strange way to headline a story showing only 17% of people agree with Nigel Farage’s scientifically illiterate belief that climate change is nothing to worry about. Almost as if The Times has an agenda.

A third have had to rely on government assistance like SNAP — which is about to get cut.

If Bezos can spend $50M on a wedding, Amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity.

Excited my paper on 'fluid hope' has been published 🙂

Tldr: There are different forms of hope in a climate emergency -- including urgent, slow, and radical hope.

They often support one another, rather than being at odds.

Astonishing! And yet ... global electricity generation from fossil fuels continues to increase every single year.

It's amazing how a story of ongoing global failure to even *begin* the "energy transition" gets twisted into a narrative of "astonishing" success.
The astonishing rise of solar:

📈In 2000 1 GW of solar was installed globally. In 2024 it was around 2,000 GW.

📉Over same period prices dropped from $130/W to around $0.2/W in 2024.
