I'm very sad to share that Louis Naidorf, the architect who designed the iconic Capitol Records Building, has died at 96. I wrote about him for the L.A. Times.

In 2012, Val Kilmer and I were stuck in an office because I had just finished interviewing him and there was a bomb threat nearby. Streets were sealed off and we weren't allowed to leave the building. Still, he remained fun and chatty. He always seemed larger than life.

RIP, legend. 🕯️
