Listening to Giant For A Day by Gentle Giant. Everybody in the world thinks this is a terrible record, but they're all wrong.

Bought Yooka-Replaylee and finished it over the weekend. I think I may be the only person alive who thinks that the original was much better.

I'm on the east coast and thus can't take advantage of this, but if you're somewhere in the midwest.... get on this.
I just bought $23(!!!) tickets on Stubhub for Paul McCartney in Minneapolis next week.

I've seen him 5 times and never paid under $100.

I wouldn't sleep on those 🎟 if you're interested. I sent a mass email to all my music students parents letting them know those are available.

One of the absolute best songs ever recorded.

Give folks their flowers

No, I mean right now. Go tell someone you loved their work right now. They're on social media just say it, it has never been easier

"They know how much people love--" no they don't go say it right now to a composer or artist or game dev or writer or anyone AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

This feels uniquely like something that should have been referenced on Mystery Science Theater 3000

I am at the *exact* intersection of Millennials and Gen X. This feels like a much more accurate way to sort myself than by generation, because I'll be *dammed* if I'm gonna watch a video when I could just read an article.
The real generational divide is people who refuse to watch a video if it could be an article versus people who refuse to read an article if it could be a video

I *worked* as a cashier at Walmart back in 2001. By that point, nothing in this video existed.
This is doing numbers on social media right now and it's so depressing how people truly yearn for this shit and want to preserve that feeling indefinitely like a mausoleum of false memories.

When I was a teenager, I spent about a year with no running water at my house due to various circumstances. This necessitated going to a local laundromat to do my laundry. Said establishment had a single arcade machine: This one. I can't fully express just how good I got at this game.
Just played the old cab a couple weeks ago!

I find it funny that people talk about BlueSky as if its a huge hub of political extremism. Here on BlueSky, most of the posts I've seen in the last couple weeks are about the reissue of the Buckingham/Nicks LP. When i checked in on my old account over on X: The Everything Site.... hoo boy.

I am just now learning about this and HOLY SHIT I am pumped.

I’m thinking of starting a quote-post review of every KMFDM release, but I don’t know if there’s an audience. I will say - early KMFDM is wildly underrated. Buy a copy of Don’t Blow Your Top today!
Been on a major KMFDM kick lately, and while I don't think I'll ever love them as much as I did when I was 15, I still like them an awful lot.

Picked up the latest KMFDM record from Bandcamp today. Guess what? It sounds like every other KMFDM album since 2003 or so.

I do not mean this as an insult. They have staked their claim as the AC/DC of industrial, and I admire that.
