'Travellers.' (1929) Eduard Ole's painting has captured passengers on a long train journey, much as a candid photographer might do. Ole, an Estonian artist, was influenced by the work of the New Objectivity, formed during the 1920s as a reaction against expressionism.

And here's the baptism record of 'Guye Fawxe', son to Edward Fawxe. Taken from the parish register of St Michael le Belfrey which is held here at the Borthwick. He was baptised on the 16th April 1570.

Fun fact: the entry below Guy's is a little faded from all the fingers run across it!

'View from a Tenement Window.' (1975) Ian Fleming was a notable artist and played an important role in the Scottish art world. He taught at Glasgow School of Art and Hospitalfield in Arbroath - famous pupils included the two Roberts: Colquhoun and MacBryde.
