I always try and downplay the fact that I have lupus because I have generally been blessed with manageable symptoms but I’ve had to brush my teeth sitting down lately so I think it’s time to ramp my self care back up a bit

I’ve been going out with slightly shorter guys recently and I think that is actually a sign of spiritual health for me bc it’s symbolic of wanting an equal partnership instead of subconsciously wanting to shrink myself

The reason they think they can get away with this stuff is because we’ve built a world where HUMAN RIGHTS are contingent upon citizenship. If a husband who has been in this country for 20 years can be subjected to this, any of us can. Citizenship is immaterial!!!

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.
