Once I was a young man and all I thought I had to do was smile.
Old school gamer. Football lover. Film fanatic. Goat format player.

“It's all one ghetto, man. A giant gutter in outer space.”
Gakpo blanks for 4 weeks running, I free hit and he scores + assists. I hate #FPL

Typical terrible penalty call in Europe as normal. Cost #ManCity 2 points in a game should have sealed earlier. I'd be more annoyed but that is the kind of awful penalties calls that happen in Europe, they give them for pretty much anything. Newcastle got one earlier that was really soft. #CL

Shane Lowry you legend. Delivered when a hero was needed.

That was almost one of the worst bottle jobs in sport. As amazing as the team played over the first few days, Europe were exceedingly poor on Sunday. Everything was under hit.

Amazing result! But that was not a good experience today.

1 loss of concentration cost us 2 points but would have taken a draw before so can't complain. Arsenal had tons of possession but didn't offer much, felt like an reverse of how City normally drop points. Defensive setup was great but obviously disappointed to drop the point right at the end. #MCFC

How was that only 3 minutes of stoppage time? Seriously?
When Liverpool are chasing they get 6 minutes minimum. When they are trying to hold it's only 3 minutes.

Don't think I've ever seen a player get a yellow card for trying to take a free kick quickly. Wasn't that quick either, everyone was basically in position.

Utterly embarrassing yellow card to give out by the referee. Couldn't care less what the rules say on that, that's shockingly embarrassing.

Liverpool - 5/5 games playing poorly but getting lucky and winning late.
Going to keep track now cause it's hilariously annoying at this point already.

On one hand because I'm going to track that might mean it ends next couple games so it won't matter. On the other hand it keeps going on and on...

You can't make up how lucky Liverpool are.
Play really poorly, opposition does something silly and gets a player sent off, then get a last minute goal. It's 4 games in and this has happened in 2 games.
I really dislike mediocre teams that fluke results.

I'm so sick of the far right discourse at this point. It's a bunch of people who have been given targets to throw frustration and hate at, fuelled by populist grifters out for nothing but their own wealth and power.

There is no debate. No point of discussion. It's division for the sake of division.

And Salah is going to get an assist for that. FFS.
Hate how Liverpool can be so poor yet win and hurt in FPL all at the same time. They really are really average.

Well new season and new problems for Man City. Or maybe it's similar problems, hard to tell.

Early in the season but lack of creativity is my main concern, same as last season really. Need the squad to full fitness.

Also, love the guy but Bernardo seemed to give the ball away every single time.

I think most Man City fans that seen and know about Jack Grealish's journey at the club will always look back on him with fondness. He won't go down as a legend or have the stats for anything, but the way he applied himself on and off the pitch really meant something. Top guy.

Scottie Scheffler. Top Player. 2025 #TheOpen Champion.

His consistency and ability to recover from seemingly any bad position is second to none. If he plays well I don't think he's beatable at the moment over 4 rounds.
July 20, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Commentators still doing my head in regarding Scheffler and his satisfaction comments. If you’re not going to listen to what he said and the message behind it then stop making comments on it. It’s typical media spin, taking a line or two and turning it on its head.

Sick of Faldo throwing shade at Scheffler, especially as he is projecting beyond what he actually said.

Scheffler basically said it’s weird to love and care so much about fleeting moments, especially when it’s his family that means everything to him.

Faldo + media trying to make it more. #TheOpen

Far from perfect, definitely over crowded, but certainly and unashamedly Super.

Now THAT was awesome tennis! 5.5hrs of the highest quality at the French Open.

Get Alcaraz and Sinner another couple of sparring partners who can compete at that level and we will see another great era like there was a decade ago.

If you can put the French Open on RIGHT NOW on TNT Sports.
Absolute banger in a decider tie break for the Grand Slam.

One thing that #Xbox has done for the last few years is consistently put out the best Showcases. This year was no difference. So much variety and quality across the board.

They need to reign in the tag screens though. World Premier, Xbox Game Studio, Play Anywhere and Game Pass. Too much.

#TLOU S2 Thoughts:
I cannot believe they are just doing a carbon copy of the game, including how the story was told.
Putting aside the character stuff, one of the biggest issues the game had was spending 10hrs as a character you disliked and didn't care about just to get back to the actual plot.

#F1 Martin Brundle complaining that cars are going slowly to play a team game. Show me the race where that is not the case then, it's exactly the same as it's always been the only difference at Monaco is it can be more effective.

Love that man, absolutely felt that one in the gut. Legends bring out real emotions.

So Gary Lineker is basically being hounded out of the BBC. Made a mistake obviously but he’s too influential/likeable that (mainly) the right have wanted him out of the BBC for ages.

Not sure how great an idea that is from them considering he would then be able to speak out even louder.
