Today our band Black Opal recorded two more demo tracks. We’re hoping to gig next year. It’s all rather indie pop energy or scandi-noir soundtrack feels. We just now need to find the sweet spot in the middle. Anyway, we’re on Soundcloud if you’re curious.

Today’s album evokes my first ever concert, Gaumont Ipswich 10/10/81, Midge Ure’s birthday as it happens! Their finest album by far, loved it at the time, have never wavered from that love. So pleased with its reappraisal, cos of Steven Wilson’s recent remix. Wondrous! m.youtube.com/watch?v=A0cC...
