After their split in the late 70s the Meters reformed a number of times with some or all original members present. This clip of "Welcome To New Orleans" is from their May 1980 show at The Saenger Theatre in New Orleans.

In the late 70s filmmaker Stevenson Palfi brought three generations of New Orleans Piano Players together: Tuts Washington, Professor Longhair and Allen Toussaint. Fess passed away during filming but luckily this recording was made.

Irma Thomas is a force of nature, and a living legend. The first clip today is a performance on American Bandstand in 1964. She sings Anyone Who Knows What Love Is, a song that has reached a second life through series like Black Mirror, Big Little Lies and Watchmen.

The Meters in 1974 at Dr. John's New Orleans Swamp tv special, performing Look-Ka Py Py and Jungle Man. With so little footage of the original Meters this is a rare example of the legendary New Orleans funk group.
