9XM, the predecessor to the modern-day Wisconsin Public Radio, issued its first public weather forecast. It was the station's first regular broadcast and was supported by the local Weather Bureau office in Madison.

Data from SPC shows 1,765 preliminary #tornado reports in the Lower 48 in 2024 so far. Six states have over 100 reports (Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, and Florida). Only three states (Maine, Vermont, Nevada, also DC) have had zero reports. #WxSky #WeatherSky #wx

Widespread 40+ mph gusts and even a 56 mph gust in Kewaskum.

I couldn't find a weather app that fits all of my needs. In particular, I enjoy reading the NWS forecast discussions and seeing the weather stories on weather.gov. I ended up creating my own app, NWS Weather Report.
