It sadly doesn’t look like I’m in a good position to adopt Luna, but I do have good news about her. The shelter moved her to a different condo across the room, and she can now see the hallway and watch birds. She’s getting much calmer and hissing less. She even played with a toy the other day.
I adore this cat that I met at the humane society. Someone surrendered Luna at 8 years old. She was completely dejected at first but is learning to trust again. She loves hugs and being held for 30+ minutes at a time.

I’m tempted to adopt her, but am trying to make sure my own situation allows it.

missed connection: I was walking past the mirror in the hallway. you were different than I expected. a vision of who I might have been, if things had been different. if the world had been kinder

fun date idea: I listen intently to every word that you say. I make silent note of the things that interest you. I shape my side of the conversation to appeal to what you want to hear. I offer nothing real of myself. I do not need to. your eyes soften when you turn to me. I know that it is working

I'm proud of you for making it through 2023. Things are weird hard scary and stacked against us right now; you surviving is defiance. The most punk thing you can do in 2024 is survive. The goal is just to be here, to exist, and to be part of the Stentorian choir of kindness and change
Love you so🫶

terms like "white collar" and "blue collar" are nearly meaningless at this point, instead i plot all jobs on an axis of "has holidays off/works holidays" and "general public thinks they should have holidays off/general public thinks they should be forced to work"

My hot take: If you make plans across a variety of situations and consistently feel happy/relieved if those plans are canceled, introversion is possible, but it’s also possible that you have an avoidant attachment style.

I really wish I had data on this.

I’m excited because I have Scream, The Social Network, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on hold at the library. I haven’t seen any of those movies yet.

My sister and I recently watched Eraserhead, Jennifer’s Body, and Midsommar. I had seen Midsommar already but it was worth rewatching.

I’m sure most of you have seen/heard this but just in case. I’ve been really unplugged lately, and I don’t know if maybe others have been too.
