I was re-reading George Santayana's (in)famous essay "The Poetry of Barbarism," in which he tries to smack down Walt Whitman (www.writing.upenn.edu/~afilreis/88...) and was a tad startled to find myself reading about "anal passion." Accidental typo? Or deliberate goof?
