So on March 13, 2025, my debut novel was published! I'm both thrilled and excited by this. I started writing this story right after Stan Lee passed. His stories, especially that of the X-Men, had gotten me through a lot of childhood trauma.

Revisiting some books I read in 2024 and actually leaving reviews of them on Goodreads. The first book I did was Broken Bonds by J Bree, Book 1 of the Bonds That Tie series. I ultimately gave it three stars out of five. I enjoyed the story, but it could have been handled so much better.

Revisiting some books I read in 2024 and actually leaving reviews of them on Goodreads. The first book I did was Broken Bonds by J Bree, Book 1 of the Bonds That Tie series. I ultimately gave it three stars out of five. I enjoyed the story, but it could have been handled so much better.
It took three tries and contacting Goodreads directly to do so, but they finally linked my book to my Goodreads account, acknowledging me as the author and letting me into the author program! Whew!

So, much as I'd love to be a full-time writer, I know that's not going to be a thing for a while. So! I have a day job, and I'm taking on a separate side gig for additional funds. For my side gig, I got ordained so that I can start officiating weddings.

I was really proud when my novel was published. After watching a lot of BookTubers take apart books, now I'm worried that I hadn't done enough for mine. Like, there was this one scene I wanted to put into the book, but I wasn't sure where to put it and the book was already pretty big, (1)
