Researching who wrote various BDSM guides, because you never want to announce 'it is quite good' and find out you recommended a noted missing stair.

Autism is navigating that 99% of the time you are hyper empathetic, but that 1% is going to spectacularly fuck you over when you try to act on the 99% part.

It's also struggling with the incongruity between your values & your own behavior, but not quite knowing how to square that particular circle.

The secret to happiness is truly small, achievable goals.
Currently daydreaming about making someone deepthroat my fingers and then using their drool as lube

Interestingly I find that people who go deep into the weeds sewing historical fashion don't tend to poison your YouTube as quickly as people whose emphasis is on wearing or LARPing history. Someone trying to source 18th century busks seems less inclined to long lectures on how Things Were Better.
It's interesting seeing how much 'the medium is the message' plays for algorithm pipelines, based on which one of my YouTube habits drags you into horrible politics land.

Gardening takes you to homesteading, which lands in antivax. War history/theory goes straight to crusty old fart fascism.

It’s that time of year again, where I come around asking for support for @scarleteen.com for those able to pitch in with some cash, some shares, or both. We’re raising for a healthcare fund for our team this time around, and a 10k match is in play: classy.org/fundraiser/6815368 Can you help? ❤️🙏🏼

Bluesky is often an exercise in catching a side eye glimpse between some community's major beef with 0 context. "Oh God, it's them again, isn't it?" *Scoff noises*

But you have to dig to find out if it's fraud, sex offenders, organizing bullying or just being cringe. And do you really want to?

To this book's credit, all this isn't being said in a vacuum. Guide writers have to simultaneously emphasize nobody is a monster, while reigning in fantasy oriented morons who desperately want everything to be real to the point of danger to everyone involved.
Read a guide for dominants focused on understanding what subs want and not taking yourself too seriously. Now reading a guide for subs focused on largely communicating to get your needs met. A lot of "he gives me this, he does that, he is the other".

We are 42% into this guide and hooray we have hit "active submission", where we get some advice focused on the dominant. It's not bad (the book puts a lot of emphasis on relationship skills), but I am still kind of finding my hypothesis we think dominance is supposed to support itself out is true.

In one of those purge all the things moods, which currently involves manually emptying 3 years+ of YouTube "watch later".

Take some extra time to support @acvalens.net

They have been one of the people tanking the anti-censorship fight and that puts them extra in the crosshairs for abusive reporting. Recently it was oopsies their unrelated to porn journalism Kofi being banned.

In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

People think Misandry is some sort of bizzaro world role reversal where evil women throw all the men in a cage and hit them with whips for being male. But that's not even how actual Misogyny actually works, it's just as much as nuanced, intersectional problem.

Christmas is coming so I am going to shamelessly remind people that "A Holiday Under Her Control" is a lovely light femdom romance read like everyone keeps saying they want to see more of. Because we deserve cheesy Hallmark style Christmas specials too. www.amazon.com/Holiday-Unde...

A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!
Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

Early Christmas shopping. *Whistling noises*

Their NoFrillDo line better than many premium toys I have tried.
Until food stamps resume, I'll be donating 25% of all NoFrillDo sales to my local food bank. That's $5 per series 3, $6 per series 1, and $10 per series 2. Go get a dildo and dil-do some good.

Finished it up. My verdict remains that the advice is solid, but that it remains in the camp largely of assuming you know what you want and are trying to puzzle out what the sub wants. This honestly seems to be the trend of what people think dominants most need to hear.
About 83% into "The Heart of Dominance". It's pretty good, including trying to be aggressively inclusive by gender. It does assume you can detect hyperbole, however.

Zipper dramatic void staring reached equilibrium. On deciding where discontent falls on the spectrum of this is being unreasonable, determined big bulky zipper on delicate latex piece must be either error or some sort of materials shortage snafu?

Opened up a Cathouse Clothing order ready to try it out and forgot that they powder everything for shipping like it's going into the deep archives, and it needs a good bath first before wearing.

Good thing there's no pressing social occasion I needed it for.
