Yes, HID headlights are very bright but the bigger problem is the proliferation of gargantuan vehicles with 5’+ hood heights so that if you’re driving a normal sized car their headlights are at your eye level rather than seat level like they’re supposed to be.

In 1885, Montreal was ravaged by smallpox.
To stem the spread of the disease that had killed thousands so far, public health officials enforced vaccinations. Those that mistrusted the vaccine rioted in the streets.
This is the story of the Montreal Smallpox Riots.

Maga is fundamentally a populist white racism. The slogan "Make America Great Again" is more accurately described as "Make White America Greater." The fact that the tariff policy insisted on a 50% tariff only on steel and aluminum stems from the concentration of these groups in the Rust Belt. The massive crackdown on illegal immigrants at the Hyundai-LG Energy Solutions joint venture plant in Georgia must be understood in this context. The scenes of our workers being chained and escorted away were reminiscent of the dragging of African slaves in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Department of Homeland Security boasted of "the largest single-site raid in history," and Immigration and Customs Enforcement even brazenly released footage of the raid, which was highly violating human rights, as if to boast of their "achievement." Far-right whites may have secretly rejoiced. Even politicians like the Georgia governor and local lawmakers, who had been active in attracting factories, have shifted their stance and sympathized with their grievances. This is likely because it's difficult to ignore the anti-immigrant sentiment of native Americans. Like the McCarthyism that swept through American society in the 1950s, irrational madness dominates American society. The recent visa issue, which could have been resolved diplomatically with advance notice from an ally, is difficult to explain beyond political maneuvering. The fact that they mobilized helicopters and armored vehicles for show, as if they had been caught, is difficult to explain.

Help shape the future of automatic tax filing in Canada The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is working to reduce tax filing barriers for individuals. Many individuals with a lower income are still missing out on valuable benefit and credit payments because they are not filing an annual tax return. Automatic tax filing is one way the CRA can effectively support individuals with a lower income in filing their taxes. The CRA has significantly expanded the reach of its automatic tax filing services since 2023 by increasing access to its SimpleFile services, including almost tripling the number of individuals invited to use SimpleFile by Phone during the tax filing season. Now, the CRA is seeking feedback to help shape the future of automatic tax filing in Canada. How to participate Individuals, community organizations, tax preparers, tax software professionals, and academics are invited to participate in the CRA’s automatic tax filing questionnaire by October 9th. Participants can share their views on: • the CRA’s current efforts to reduce filing barriers for individuals with a lower income • opportunities to expand automatic tax filing tools and services, as well as what the CRA needs to consider when expanding tools and services How the CRA will use your feedback Your feedback will help the CRA better understand opportunities and considerations related to its SimpleFile services in Canada. It will also contribute to the creation, or expansion, of services to help individuals file their taxes and get the payments they’re entitled to.
