While most of the time, I appreciate Apple’s “let’s wait to charge your phone until you’re about to wake up” bit, I wish it would take into account that I have small children and may need to bring my phone to use as a flashlight at any point in the middle of the night so I don’t step on dinosaurs.

My 6yo searched his Bible storybook for a specific story tonight before bed. The one about Jesus casting demons into pigs and the pigs drowning. He said it’s his favorite. I’m not sure if I should be impressed or scared.

Every night for awhile, my middle child asks for the same story from the same storybook. It’s about Bambi. We’ve never seen Bambi. I asked tonight why, already knowing the answer. He asks for the Bambi story because it contains the page number 100 in it. He wants to read page 100 every night.

We have bought a few “Spidey and his amazing friends” books. We love the show. The books are a disaster.
In one book, Miles switches into his super spidey identity: Miles. Not Spin.
They also call Green Goblin “Goblin.” In universe, he’s Gobby.

In the book “The Smart Cookie,” the cookie goes to school in a gingerbread house. Did the cookie people build a house out of dead cookies? He lives in a bakery. A normal bakery. Why is the school make out of cookies? Did he ever wake up and one of his friends was sold and eaten?
